Just completed this game because it was free on PS+. They made this game too easy. Having the ghost being able to fight alongside you in boss battles is a joke, especially when you can heal it twice.

Story was good though.

there's no guess work. choose weapon you like pump ability modifier stat Motivity/Tech/Advance, pump capacity/vitality/vigor as needed. Boss fights are all over the place. Some are complete pushovers others requjire some grinding to get tanky enough to survive the autotracking spammy attacks. Story is BS. Looks good but it plays rough since the dodge mechanics are janky and even the weakest enemies can cancel out your attacks with their own.

Invest in shotputs. In order to crit enemies you have to hit them with a charged heavy attack while they are susceptible which can be tricky at times. A well placed shot put knocks them out immediately.

Technique weps are the most fun and stylish. I did the base game using the umbrella which might as well be the best weapon in the game from everything I've tried and has similar moveset to the rapier you start the game with, and booster glaive blade which has a nasty gap-closing charge attack.
Early on there didn't seem to be a reason to level up your main damage stat past 20, as carry capacity and stamina seemed much more important. Health also didn't do much and I left it for last until I got all other stats to 40.
