This game makes no sense. I just don't get it. Why would you want to stay?
>>
>>719346461
Because you get paid
>>
>>719346461
Imagine being an ugly ahh dude who couldn't get hired anywhere except here you would work through anything just to survive
>>
>>719346461
120 DOLLARYDOOS
>>
>>719346461
Iirc the officers stay because in context of the lore they were wronged by the company and wanted to fix things or get revenge. The company that owns the Pizzaria is cartoonishly evil.
>>
>nobody gets it
>>
>>719346771
but the animatronics don't mind that you're ugly and lowkey start slurpin on yo dih
>>
>>719347269
Hell yeah chicka come here and eat this dihh
>>
Because the animatronics don't seem threatening until they get you and shove you inside a suit
Also some people will endure anything for cash
>>
Mike really should've looked for another job
>>
>>719347472
He should have said to that place goodbye thoughie

Best game song? I keep going back to moving up in the world.

am i alone in thinking the paranormal element of these games makes them a lot less interesting? it would be a lot scarier if what the guy on the answering machine said was true and an error in their coding caused them to wander around at night and the animatronics saw the player as an endoskeleton not wearing a suit and hunted you as an uncaring, unstoppable automaton just trying to forcefully shove you into an animal costume

le spooky ghost children wanting revenge is lame and gay in comparison
>>
>>719347663
I actually agree too. But to be fair, that actually is the case in FNAF 2. The toy animatronics actually do have fucked up code and aren't possessed or anything
>>
i get it
:D
>>
>>719347629
Dance to Forget is so good it's the only FNAF song I listen to as an actual song and not just a FNAF song. Total Insecurity is good too.
>>
>>719347663
Ironically, you got your wish. The franchise has been moving towards a sci-fi direction, and by now most of the antagonists (namely the Glam rock animatronics in Security Breach and the Mimic) are purely malfunctioning robots
>>
>>719347734
really eh? i'm going to have to replay that one, sounds kino
>>
>>719346461
It's been so long since I've played this
>>
>>719346461
For me its Five Nights at Freddys in Real Time
It perfectly encapsulates working a night shift

I completely agree, the "malfunctioning robots with plausible deniability" element of the games is what interested me most about them. I thought the robots being programmed with criminal profiles in 2 was a very cool idea that opened up a lot of lore potential about the player.

When the series started getting serious about all the ghost bullshit in 3 is when I stopped paying attention. Some of the later games seem really stupid on a conceptual level. Cawthon started pandering waaaaay too hard to the kids who didn't want anything too scary.
>>
>>719348069
It's been so long since I last have played this game lost to this monster
>>
So was this shit ever any good?
>>
>>719348380
I played it, it was kinda lame. Not amazing, not horrible

A little bit of paranormal ain't spoiling the game. Le spooky ghost children wanting revenge worked within the first three games because the formula was simple: purple guy kills the kids, they now posses the animatronics and in a perpetual state of agony they try to find the killer and enact the same treatment they were subject to.
However what they did following the third game was mostly gay and unnecessary.
>>
>>719348380
This was a "had to be there" game more than the others
>>
>>719348380
>the cut Mangle hanging herself loading screen
what was Scott thinking?
>>
>>719348837
she was just biting a ball on a string, anon
she was having fun!
>>
>>719347734
What the fuck is up with their eyes if they aren't possessed then?
>>
>>719348837

What the fuck did Scott 'MAGA' Cawthon mean by this??

>>
>>719347663
Whatever happened to that whole "living metal" hidden phone message from the first game? Scott never did anything with that. I thought it was a cool idea.

So we can all agree that Sister Location was the best in the franchise, right?
>>
>>719349017
Too scripted
>>
>>719348974
It was a stock gibberish sound effect. Any correlations made with FNAF lore was a total coincidence. Yes, that's right, "Joy of Creation" is built on a fucking lie
>>
>>719349017
1, 2, SL, and maaaaaybe Custom Night (and even that's kind of debatable) are the only ones worth playing.
>>
>>719349017
Uh, it's clearly the fucking worst, by far (besides Security Breach)
>>
>>719346461
In this economy I'd take any job.
You'll eventually reach this point too.
>>
>>719349017
Let me elaborate. For the main series,
SL > 3 > 6 > 2 > 4 > 1.
>>
>>719349269
Nice bait
>>
>>719346461
the mc is the son of the child murderer following him to get revenge and right his wrongs
>>
>>719349090
Let's be real here. People reading too much into it 100% directly led to Scott coming out with shit like Remnant.
>>
>>719349090
It's built on two lies because the line wasn't "joy of creation" anyway, it was "joy of creative service".
>>
why was it so successful?
i don't care all that much about fnaf nowadays, but this question always pops up in my head when i'm reminded of it's existence.
i liked following the story as the games were coming out, but i never actually bought any of the games. i didn't care enough to play them.
>>
>>719349701
>why was it so successful?
Extremely easy to play, had some cheap but very effective scares, a highly-distinct visual style, and neat concept. The mid-2010s was a gold rush for indie games in a way that today simply isn't, so if a game hit you were set for life.
>>
>>719349701
simple gameplay and hyped up by youtubers.
also it appeals to children because despite being horror the animatronics were pretty cute-looking and not like the average horror monster
>>

so simple, but effective gameplay, a personality and good timing. i guess that tracks.
even then, i find it really interesting how the series kept it's momentum all the way to it's (iirc 3rd) ending. it's unreal how much demand there was for all this.

>>
>>719351926
why is this thing actually cute
>>
Cool idea and franchise till kids became the main audience (and to some extent) the furries fetishized the shit out of it. Once I saw you were a kid MC crawling into Freddy like some sort of mech while running from some security lady it told me everything I needed to know about how the ip was evolving.
>>
>>719352124
>parodies an existing genre that never held its punches
it's not that bad, the horrors that the iwbtg fangames have created are what change men but for the average fnaf person that rainbow rage platformer bitch must've been hell.
>>
>>719348291
I think the paranormal being hinted at (very heavily in the first game) along with a more grounded explanation like them mistaking you for an endoskeleton was what really made the first game really creepy and interesting. I do enjoy ghost and possession stories so I enjoy some of the later games. But yeah I can agree, it needed to be more ambiguous.
>>
>>719352083
>>719352048

You're not wrong and furries are usually the first tell if a franchise will be successful or not seeing as they're basically indisposable money dispensers.

>>719359628
that was a full retard move
honestly the 'story' past the third game is retarded, and fnaf even having a story at all is dumb
first game was a perfect stand alone, the second has the best (yet ultimately pointless) camera shots, and the third has springtrap
everything else us unnecessary
>>
>>719352350
