This game makes no sense. I just don't get it. Why would you want to stay?
>>719346461Because you get paid
>>719346461Imagine being an ugly ahh dude who couldn't get hired anywhere except here you would work through anything just to survive
>>719346461120 DOLLARYDOOS
>>719346461Iirc the officers stay because in context of the lore they were wronged by the company and wanted to fix things or get revenge. The company that owns the Pizzaria is cartoonishly evil.
>nobody gets it
>>719346771but the animatronics don't mind that you're ugly and lowkey start slurpin on yo dih
>>719347269Hell yeah chicka come here and eat this dihh
Because the animatronics don't seem threatening until they get you and shove you inside a suitAlso some people will endure anything for cash
Mike really should've looked for another job
>>719347472He should have said to that place goodbye thoughie
Best game song? I keep going back to moving up in the world.
am i alone in thinking the paranormal element of these games makes them a lot less interesting? it would be a lot scarier if what the guy on the answering machine said was true and an error in their coding caused them to wander around at night and the animatronics saw the player as an endoskeleton not wearing a suit and hunted you as an uncaring, unstoppable automaton just trying to forcefully shove you into an animal costumele spooky ghost children wanting revenge is lame and gay in comparison
>>719347663I actually agree too. But to be fair, that actually is the case in FNAF 2. The toy animatronics actually do have fucked up code and aren't possessed or anything
i get it :D
>>719347629Dance to Forget is so good it's the only FNAF song I listen to as an actual song and not just a FNAF song. Total Insecurity is good too.
>>719347663Ironically, you got your wish. The franchise has been moving towards a sci-fi direction, and by now most of the antagonists (namely the Glam rock animatronics in Security Breach and the Mimic) are purely malfunctioning robots
>>719347734really eh? i'm going to have to replay that one, sounds kino
>>719346461It's been so long since I've played this
>>719346461For me its Five Nights at Freddys in Real TimeIt perfectly encapsulates working a night shift
>>719347663I completely agree, the "malfunctioning robots with plausible deniability" element of the games is what interested me most about them. I thought the robots being programmed with criminal profiles in 2 was a very cool idea that opened up a lot of lore potential about the player. When the series started getting serious about all the ghost bullshit in 3 is when I stopped paying attention. Some of the later games seem really stupid on a conceptual level. Cawthon started pandering waaaaay too hard to the kids who didn't want anything too scary.
>>719348069It's been so long since I last have played this game lost to this monster
So was this shit ever any good?
>>719348380I played it, it was kinda lame. Not amazing, not horrible
>>719348329got no time, I got no time for this, anon.
>>719347663 A little bit of paranormal ain't spoiling the game. Le spooky ghost children wanting revenge worked within the first three games because the formula was simple: purple guy kills the kids, they now posses the animatronics and in a perpetual state of agony they try to find the killer and enact the same treatment they were subject to. However what they did following the third game was mostly gay and unnecessary.
>>719348380This was a "had to be there" game more than the others
>>719348380>the cut Mangle hanging herself loading screenwhat was Scott thinking?
>>719348837she was just biting a ball on a string, anonshe was having fun!
>>719347734What the fuck is up with their eyes if they aren't possessed then?
>>719348837>the trans character kills herselfWhat the fuck did Scott 'MAGA' Cawthon mean by this??
the fazbear fanverse, whatever happened there
>>719347663Whatever happened to that whole "living metal" hidden phone message from the first game? Scott never did anything with that. I thought it was a cool idea.
So we can all agree that Sister Location was the best in the franchise, right?
>>719349017Too scripted
>>719348974It was a stock gibberish sound effect. Any correlations made with FNAF lore was a total coincidence. Yes, that's right, "Joy of Creation" is built on a fucking lie
>>7193490171, 2, SL, and maaaaaybe Custom Night (and even that's kind of debatable) are the only ones worth playing.
>>719349017Uh, it's clearly the fucking worst, by far (besides Security Breach)
>>719346461In this economy I'd take any job. You'll eventually reach this point too.
>>719349017Let me elaborate. For the main series,SL > 3 > 6 > 2 > 4 > 1.
>>719349269Nice bait
>>719346461the mc is the son of the child murderer following him to get revenge and right his wrongs
>>719349090Let's be real here. People reading too much into it 100% directly led to Scott coming out with shit like Remnant.
>>719349090It's built on two lies because the line wasn't "joy of creation" anyway, it was "joy of creative service".
why was it so successful?i don't care all that much about fnaf nowadays, but this question always pops up in my head when i'm reminded of it's existence.i liked following the story as the games were coming out, but i never actually bought any of the games. i didn't care enough to play them.
>>719349701>why was it so successful?Extremely easy to play, had some cheap but very effective scares, a highly-distinct visual style, and neat concept. The mid-2010s was a gold rush for indie games in a way that today simply isn't, so if a game hit you were set for life.
>>719349701simple gameplay and hyped up by youtubers.also it appeals to children because despite being horror the animatronics were pretty cute-looking and not like the average horror monster
toy chica
>>719348962that fucking animal michael afton killed my son totally unprovoked
>>719348936it's an animatronic, you're actually obsessed
>>719346461survivorship bias
>>719346461>Why would you want to stay?FIVE NIGHT'S AT FREDDIEEEESIS THAT WHERE YOU WANT TO BE?I JUST DON'T GET IIIIIThttps://youtu.be/J4C8_x8kfX0
>>719351352FINALLY
>>719349829>>719349913so simple, but effective gameplay, a personality and good timing. i guess that tracks.even then, i find it really interesting how the series kept it's momentum all the way to it's (iirc 3rd) ending. it's unreal how much demand there was for all this.>>719351352frank sinatra said it best.
>>719346461Those songs are so ESL I cringe listening to them.
>>719347663What makes it less interesting is the sheer volume of characters there are now.Literally ADHD "new thing good" and thowing more shit at the wall.
>>719346771Imagine being a nigger "ahh" zoomer thats too fucking young to post on this website
https://vocaroo.com/1jJ9OY8TZa8E
>now look at fnaf with a fond sensation where the irony wasn't there, just pure unconditioned child-like wonder>never got into the fandom side and merely drifted upon the surfacecan I ask those who were deep into this game or whatever, did I miss out because I feel like this has always been the case with me where I just skim things but never really indulge into things.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gJE8POYCYg
>>719351907"Zoomers" are reaching 30 and starting families, gramps. It's not 2015 anymore.
>>719351907the youngest zoomers are 41 years old, gramps
>>719348380Chica's Magic Rainbow changes a man
>>719351926why is this thing actually cute
Cool idea and franchise till kids became the main audience (and to some extent) the furries fetishized the shit out of it. Once I saw you were a kid MC crawling into Freddy like some sort of mech while running from some security lady it told me everything I needed to know about how the ip was evolving.
>>719352124>parodies an existing genre that never held its punchesit's not that bad, the horrors that the iwbtg fangames have created are what change men but for the average fnaf person that rainbow rage platformer bitch must've been hell.
>>719348291I think the paranormal being hinted at (very heavily in the first game) along with a more grounded explanation like them mistaking you for an endoskeleton was what really made the first game really creepy and interesting. I do enjoy ghost and possession stories so I enjoy some of the later games. But yeah I can agree, it needed to be more ambiguous.
>>719352083>>719352048The fuck are you talking about. The oldest zoomers are like 28-29 years right now.
>>719352880goofy ahh nigga
>>719352346>(and to some extent) the furries fetishized the shit out of itI mean. maybe my memory is failing me but pretty sure the furries were already around when the first fnaf threads happened
>>719353052Fnaf was inevitably going to be dominated by furries sooner or later, I can't remember if they were there right away or if it took a few years
>>719352880I"m gonna filter every boomer ahh diddyblud in this thread with just one number67
>>719353052You're not wrong and furries are usually the first tell if a franchise will be successful or not seeing as they're basically indisposable money dispensers.
>>719353179Definitely right away. TGweaver was dumping his porn here before FNAF 2 even came out.
>>719353335i miss crisis omega
>>719351758They are cringe kino
>>719351907You are rapidly approaching 50 years old and still on a game forum you absolute faggot go do something useful
>>719354108>he thinks YOU ARE HERE FOREVER is a jokelol. lmao even
>>719353472What ever happened to him?
>>719348901Low power mode; extraneous ocular illumination disabled.
>>719354325If it wasn't a joke this website wouldn't be on a heavy decline right now, It's cope at this point not to see it
>>719350137Glamrock Chica > Toy Chica
>>719346461for subscribers. its not that deep.
>>719357621Why would the player character stay. Not the person playing the game.
>>719346461I dare anyone to give me a qrd on the lore.
>>719347663You've mostly gotten your wish with the Mimic. There's still an inherent supernatural element but it's mostly background detail.
>>719352346>Cool idea and franchise till kids became the main audienceThey always were.
>>719358112maybe not the first game

>>719348901CC fucking with reality from beyond the grave. Like Dream Theory but on crack.
>>719358137Scott made the first game for his sons
>>719358725i didn't know that, you got me then, still security breach is way more sanitized
It was scarier when the lore wasn't really highly present before fnaf2
>>719359092Yeah this series jumped the shark past the second game
>>719347663Until it started coming out that they were ghosts, I just thought it was toy story thing and they were alive and not telling anyone.
>>719346461Because it was retconned every night guard is Michael Afton with different names
>>719359535There is a rule sign and one of the rules is something like 'don't stay after dark' so your idea was probably close to what was initially intended
>>719352083Fortnight released almost 25 years ago
>>719349017>Scripted Location>Better in anything than presentation
>>719359628that was a full retard move honestly the 'story' past the third game is retarded, and fnaf even having a story at all is dumb first game was a perfect stand alone, the second has the best (yet ultimately pointless) camera shots, and the third has springtrapeverything else us unnecessary
>>719352350Average IWBTG fangame (And IWBTG itself) are way harder than Chica's Magic Rainbow so that's true
>>719359628It wasn't though.
>>719346461I don't think that someone who's working as a night security guard for a pizzaria really has any other options available to them. It's the only job they can have.
>>719358776Because of Sony intervention, not because of Scott or Steel Wool.
>>719361980I'd bring a shotgun with me at least
Because the MC is not actually working, he wants to find his father
>BEEP>Connection terminated
