You had to fully disable all custom options and essentially convert your server into a pure official server in all but name only. No custom maps, no custom settings like all talk, nothing. And if you did not comply your server died a slow death as no traffic would come to it anymore since everyone was using Play Now instead of the server browser.
Valve raped the game with MYM because they were scared of Overwatch of all things. Then they got bored of it because the game didn't immediately make CSGO bucks so they abandoned it and let it get swarmed by bots for 7 years all while adding literally thousands of microtransactions. The only reason the bots are even got is because a contractor asked to work on the game and it only took him like 6 months to find a solution. A single guy with no prior knowledge of the codebase solved the problem in his spare time which means valve could have dealt with it years ago if they gave even the slightest shit.People defend this too.
