Alright /v/. Give me your pitch and/or ideas for a new horror video game.

A lovecraftian survival horror game that looks like classic DOOM. Set in a town inspired by Shadow over Innsmouth, it would be the end of the world caused by interdimensional beings that live in the 4th dimension. You'd have to solve puzzles and avoid enemies or fight them with limited resources. There would be a sanity mechanic that decreases every time you die so there's permanent consequences for every death. That's it for now. Any other ideas?

Slender is actually good horror and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

One idea I’ve had for a while is a bait-and-switch point and click that uses the artstyle and aesthetics of an old shitty flash game you’d find on sites like Newgrounds back in the day. (Think stuff like Riddle School, Henry Stickmin, The Visitor, Reincarnation, that sorta stuff)

I think the game would be set in a school like Riddle School, with the protag initially trying to uncover a lighthearted mystery, only to slowly realize the world around them is completely fake and out to get them. No real specifics on gameplay other than typical point and click stuff, and the horror elements would only come in about halfway through, signified with the artstyle switching to something dark and realistic (potentially 3D?)

Honestly I don’t have much else to say but i’d be open to further ideas from you guys

>Roguelite
>Starts off fairly standard
>Metaprogression unlocks start to seem a little off, but nothing particularly out of the ordinary
>Each death slowly corrupts the world, leading to more erratic worldgen, NPC dialogue kerning gradually losing consistency, and occasional looping sound effects
>Eventually, either from dying so much the world breaks past a certain threshold or an unlock from clearing the game, you get the ability to head back into previous runs
>Doing so shifts the game from a roguelite to an adventure game, using the different tools you unlocked to navigate out of the procgen random levels into a facility that was running the roguelite part as a loop
>Artstyle shifts from Standard Modern Indie Pixel Art in the roguelite/simulation to a more stylized 3D style in the facility
>Researchers try to sedate you - as they damage you, the artstyle reverts and procgen forms around you
>Ultimate goal is to escape the facility

Sounds pretty neat, interesting gameplay ideas

I'm working on a series bible for one right now.
>Company makes these life-sized dolls and sells them to schools dealing with staffing issues
>Dolls are made from women who have their anatomy rearranged to become dolls
>The teachers are thus prone to insanity if not kept stable and stimulated
>Keeping them stable and stimulated means letting them eat and teach, but they're ravenous and their teaching methods are extreme and dangerous
>Play as an investigator sent to various locations to evaluate if this is safe or ethical
>Need to evade the teachers while collecting evidence, which involves being close enough to monitor them or collecting tapes and notes with information

What's the gameplay though?

First person stealth game. There will be opportunities to fight back but for the majority of it you'll be defenseless. It's a game mostly about keeping a read on your surroundings, you have a camera to collect pictures of the teachers but it can also be set up to alert you if they cross a specific point. There will be diversions but they won't work if the teacher is actively chasing you. I don't know what to do during encounters yet, maybe it's red-light green-light or weeping angle mechanics, or they just charge, not sure yet.
The goal is to collect enough evidence and escape, but to escape you usually need to unblock an exit.

A Fnaf-like game where you need to fly a plane, constantly ducking around to keep the systems in the green and you and your passengers in the air.

The Sinking City but first person
