I tried playing Persona 1 and gave up after about 5 hours. The dungeons are so damn tedious.

I've only played 3 for the PS2. Should I bother with FES? I liked the standard version but I don't know if FES changes much to justify another playthrough.

It shuffles some things around but the main draws are the Aigis social link and the expansion focused on Aigis and dungeon crawling, so if you really like Aigis it might be for you
The Answer (Aigis content) is entirely separate from The Journey (the main game), so if you do decide to play FES you can launch directly into it from the top menu and not worry about carrying over saves or anything

To me 4 is just too much wasted potential, it's a murder mystery with no mystery in a decaying rural town with no character, and most of the actual characters are boring, shallow, dumb or some combination, which makes spending 80+ hours with them tedious
It also lacks a lot of what I like about Persona, the urban occultism elements are essentially absent outside of very basic Japanese mythological references and even more basic Jungian psychology/mysticism, there's nothing to really get hooked on to like the previous games have
I like Dojima, Nanako, Adachi and Kanji though, and some of the TV dungeon aesthetics are neat, but the actual dungeons themselves are terrible, if at least short
I'm not a big fan of 5 either, but it's more interesting to look at and play, when it's not stopping and starting itself over and over again

I really like the vibe, music, characters and plot that P2 gives, especially Eternal Punishment, but the game is in need of a serious gameplay rework, and this come from someone who has beaten it.

>kid learns from bad guy in that moment that killer was eventually gonna die anyway

>killer shields kid in order to try and make up for his wrong doings
>kid realizes his mistake and grows as a person from it, realizing he must live his life for the killer and his mom
>kid is hated by the entire persona community for this and is blamed for killers death
I think the funniest part about this is that if ken was a girl everyone would like him unconditionally

Persona 5 is the best one and I do not care if I get raped for that
