does 12 even have slavery? it seems like a peaceful peasant life.

10. I like beaches.

8 was pretty comfy. Shit game but comfy world.

8 is a good game, it just doesn't do a good job of explaining its systems.

12 or 13-3 are the best worlds.
12 only had a minor problem from some shitty kingdom that went fuck all anywhere, as long as you live in the big cities your life is good.
13-3 has a literal goddess helping and reseting time whenever you step on a lego.
All the other worlds are kinda fucked even when the hero groups comes through and 'fixes' things.
Blitzball is cool though, not cool enough to risk some albhed fuck blowing shit up with some haphazardly put together machina that probably uses souls as fuel.

Bro all of lighting returns takes place in basically the apocalypse during the final days of the world.
That be a fucking awful high stress world to be in.

ehh with all the shit that happens in FF its a tough choice.
I guess VIII

>>

I tried the one with the pink hair chick but it was so boring I gave up. All I remember was that I was in a small icy valley fighting a boss when I stopped and return it to Blockbuster.
>>
>>719355131
Imagine going from an uber chad protag like Squall to that utter faggot twink Zidane. No wonder FF9's sales were terrible.
>>
>>719355452
Gonna One up you on that one and say X-2 because I also like beaches but I don't want to get randomly obliterated by Sin.
>>
>>719357772
You literally played the worse one you could, which is impressive seeing there were like 13 of them at that moment.
>>
>>719357960
I had just started college and my friends were hyping it up. That plus the pink haired chick was cute so I went for it.
>>
>>719355131
8. It has a bunch of the modern conveniences but still having cool, fantastical elements. All of the bad stuff happens like a million years in the future or the past or it doesn't even happen? A nice house in Balamb or getting accepted into one of the Gardens seems peak.
>>
>>719357772
oh yeah, that one's divisive.
they're all pretty different though. do try out another one if you're still up for it.
>>
XIV
Comfy enough if you don't go the bad parts of town.
Any world ending threat is promptly taken care of by the WoL in around 60 hours or however long it takes to finish an X.0 MSQ.
>>
>>719358674
>XIV isn't that bad they have the WoL
>Before the WoL shows up to fix everything:
>Primals destroying cities
>Evil empire causing a world war
>Planets so oversaturated with 1 specific element that for the last 100 years humanity has slowly been into monsters
>Civilizations sacrificing half their populations to create their own primals
>The final days
>>
>>719357305
>>719358674
If we're assuming the player characters are a representative of the inhabitants sinc it's an MMO and would be basically empty otherwise, then 14 is the best by far.
>World constantly saved as soon as something happens, can sleep soundly
>Every single threat in wilderness killed in 30 seconds by 500 people showing up all at once calling it a "hunt"
>Glorified delivery/labourers with overwhelming power asking you and every other civilian if you need anything done, don't even care about reward
>Factions being united or suppressed as needed by some hero (or heroes), you can basically just ignore politics cause someone is always creating pretty much the best possible outcome for you
>Jobs include service, inns, admin, crafting/creative/labour work, all pay massively because there's a fucking billion adventurers willing to pay you 50k for some meal or shoe you learned to make in a week
>Could even train to be an adventurer yourself if that took your fancy, with a wide variety of roles
>Can even change your appearance, identity, gender, race with certain items, all other crazy kinds of magic shit that is often taught by just some normal working class dude like summoning your clothing and items from nowhere on demand
I don't know the stats for player characters but it always seemed like most of them played girls when I used to play. Meaning the people in the "world" would be mostly women of varying shapes, sizes, races and colours, and many are bored horny millionaires. So y'know, you'll have your pick.

>>719359806
Average civilian in modern Eorzea doesn't experience a single moment of that other than reading news that some guy and his mates all wearing golden speedos just killed a god in some backwater tribe area or on another planet entirely. Gotta assume you'd be living in the current time of the game surely.
>>
>>719355131
Most of them seem alright to live in AFTER their game's plots conclude. I'd pick either Spira or Ivalice, like my warmer climates and they also have cute anthros.
>>
>>719360126
Even the final days were basically contained entirely in India.
>>
>>719360126
Forgot to include best part:
>Go to Limsa or other places popular to hang out
>Horny women of every race (and men if that's your thing) thowing themselves at you desperate to get fucked/fuck, both vanilla and kink and everything inbetween
>Completely free, they're just that down bad - might even pay YOU
If we throw in all the mods too then... Damn.
>>
>>719355131
Is this during game, post-game, pre-game or in general? I would want to live in III's world in general, but if I can choose a specific place and time then I want to live in XIII-2's Academia 4XX AF..
III > XIII > V >>> VII >>> VIII > XV > X > I > IV > IX >>> XII >>> VI >>>>>>>>> II > XVI

I'd have to go with FFXIV, at least post-Endwalker. With Garlemald finally subdued and the primal problem solved on every front, the collective aether of Zodiark, Hydaelyn, and the Twelve returned to the planet, and the remaining Ascians in a state of defeat, I find it to be exceedingly peaceable. Speaking from living anywhere in the universe, I would be a denizen of Ultima Thule, because the Omicrons have everything I desire out of life. I would become an Omicron if it were an option, and it probably is; they had to start somewhere.
Otherwise I'd want to live on the moon with the Loporrits, the next best thing to the apex civilization. Etheirys is nice, but I'd be happy to watch it from afar in a place of peace and splendor.

Excluding XIV as an option for being too tantalizing, or denying me the position with the Omicrons or Loporrits and having to live in Eorzea like a common rube, I suppose my next choice goes to FFX postgame. I'm an Al Bhed fan and would happily join them in advancing the engineering of the once-backwards Spira.

>>719355131
Literally 12. 9 would be awful to live in. So would 7. 8 would be ok. I hate 10's setting.

8, I guess. I remember it having some neat towns and cities.

Definitely not X, can't go anywhere without getting poked in the butt by some flavor of necromancer or undead abomination. X-2 after Vegnagun gets murked, maybe? And I don't count the drama CD, go fuck yourself, best ending is Tidus staying gone anyway.

Presumably fiends are less of a problem after Sin is gone. Threefold reasoning: one, the Crusaders can focus all their efforts to remaining fiends, since there is no more Sin or Sinspawn to divide their efforst. Two, without Summoners going on Pilgrimages and Sin to kill all hope, there's less overall sorrow and death in the world, fewer Unsent ever being created and fewer still having reasons to hate and become fiends. (Addendum to two: the final defeat of Sin will likely see a surge of hope and optimism and improve morale for all existing fiend-fighting forces.) Three, with the ban on machina lifted and the Al Bhed welcomed back into general society, travel can be performed with railways and airways, higher speed ships, and all can be protected with both firearms and artillery.

Disgusting.

>>719355131
Of those? 12, followed by X-2.
Over all would be 8.
>>
>>719355131

I don't think I like any of them as places to actually live a life in. They all seem insanely hostile, what with monsters attacking when you step 10 feet outside a city and all.

>>
>>719373810
They can use radios, they just have a tremendous radio source constantly blaring death threats from orbit so using them makes people upset.
Esthar had easy access to near-planet space travel as well as hovercars and shit. They're past current earth in tech at the very least, but unfortunately aliens are real and the moon is covered in monsters, so they only just threw up a few space stations to fuck around without being able to search the cosmos further than that.

8 is actually post-apocalyptic and is teetering on the brink of ruin, but the game doesn't really explore it overtly, much like everything in 8.

Don't you think it's pretty weird that there are multiple schools of child soldiers and that the last Fae are being rounded up and commodified as military assets, and radio and satellite just don't work anymore and the stations are all abandoned and there are ruins everywhere. They are all signs of horror.
