The most shocking thing I've noticed when first time playing D2 is the fact that it has poorer visuals compared to D1. It looks like it looks desaturated and it's missing some colors compared to D1 had despite the fact that Diablo 1 was released 4 years before D2, D2 looks more like some unfinished beta version despite being a bigger project. Also D1 has much better looking surroundings and lighning effects which adds to the sinister atmosphere. How did they fuck this up?
