>over 30 hours of play time so far
>only about 75% completion
remember when /v/ kept shitposting that it was a "5 hour game" because of some autismo speeding through the game and ignoring everything other than the main quest

>>over 30 hours of play time so far
90% of my play time is idling while I eat dinner or shitpost.
Especially for a game as boring an 'nanza.

I remember when /v/ was shitposting about Metroid Dread being 2 hours long, literally using any% speedrun videos as evidence
>>
if you didn’t get all 1000 bananas you didn’t beat the game
>>
Shit, there's 1000 bananas? The collection screen shows 777 as the current max, and I'm at like 650 or so.
>>
>>719357992
This game is so boring. I've only made it to the resort level. Every time I have to play it feels like homework.
>>
>>719357992
All that work and no trophies. What a sad platform
>>
>>719358713
You can keep buying more bananas from the banana chip trader.
Enjoy the grind.
>>
>>719358880
>muh trophies
don't care
>>
>>719358857
Sums it up.
Finding nanners and fossils doesn't feel rewarding.
The quest line is just go here, fall down next layer, go there, sublayer, etc. Layers are fucking stupid btw,
>>
You must love Assassin's Creed.
>>
>>719358256
>mfw the series that has been designed with speedrunning in mind since the NES allows you to beat it in a short amount of time if you know how to speedrun it
>>
>>719358881
Is there any point to that though? I remember in Odyssey you could keep buying moons endlessly from vendors but it wouldn't really do much in terms of completion; the game would only register 100% completion when you actually got all the normal moons.

I think what gets me is the repetitive structure. Oh wow, another challenge with 3 bananas. Let me guess, one near the beginning, one near the end, and one "hidden" in some place you might not expect to look.
>>
>>719358959
You dont care about being rewarded for playing. Crazy
>>
>>719359056
Sadly the challenges were the most fun part for me, closest to an actual 3D DK platformer.
The main game is not a platformer. Just because you can jump and there are platforms does not make it a platforming game.
>>
>>719359038
When you get all 1000 bananas it turns the red balloons you use when you fall out of bounds into balloons shaped like DK’s head
That’s it
>>
I had 33 hours when I finished bananza and I did the rehearsal thingy at the end
>>
>>719357992
is DK bananza worth playing if you got spoiled on the secret?
>>
>>719359785
yes
>>
>>719359785
bananza is my game of the decade so far
>>
>>719358713
The 777 includes triple and quintuple bundles from bosses as a single entry in the list
>>
>>719359925
>>719359889
wow that's high praise dude.

fucking off yourself brownoid

>>719358713
It's only 70-something extra bananas you have to buy once you get all the ones from missions because of >>719359980. The individual number is on the upper left in DK's status screen.
>>
>>719359785
If you liked Odyssey, I would say its a must play. I also think its the freshest thing Nintendo has put out in a long time. It might be my GotY but that could change
>>
>>719359984
I care about gameplay the most and it's most fun I've had with a 3D platformer in a long time. I also love k rool and I'm really glad he's back
>>
>>719357992
No, if you ignore everything and just gun it to the end, it's like an hour and a half.
5 hours is playing it very casually. Not about completion.
>>
>>719358960
I like this sort of gameplay a lot, and it's why I gel with Odyssey, BotW, etc.
It's the joy of movement, and moving from point to point and encountering the set-ups and interactions and figuring out your own way of doing things.

Nintendo's been over-reliant on this open-zone style of gameplay lately though, and Mario Kart World suffered for it.

Bananza does this curious thing where you can focus purely on the main story objective and ignore literally everything else, with the exception of a couple of mandatory Bananza transformations. You just need to understand the terrain and movement mechanics well enough so you have the means to bypass certain obstacles, or defeat certain bosses that are intended to use a Bananza or particular gimmick.

Whiter than you and you're mad.
I'm gonna have myself a tall glass of milk to celebrate.
>>
>>719360319
>and Mario Kart World suffered for it.
I actually like the World part of MKW, but Bananza does not do it for me.
>>
>>719360697
>Whiter than you
That isn't possible. I'm Hitler's top guy.
>>
>>719358857
feel the same way about odyssey
theres just too much content its kinda sickening
i can only play it for a few hours and then i need a break
still working on 100% on my file from 2022
