I should mention that Shock Troopers 1 has 2 game modes, one where you take a single character and try to beat the game with them, you have the usual life system, and another where you pick a team, but if anyone on the team dies they're gone for good till they all die and you're forced to continue.Shock Troopers 2 is just 4 characters with different stats(Leon is widely considered the best one)
