>developers use the engine improperly>the resulting issues are the fault of the company that made itGive a man a hammer and watch him make a Youtube video complaining about how he flattened his own penis.Teach a man to fish and watch as his family sues you because he managed to drown himself trying to fish for carp in the bathtub.
You don't understand anon, me being a retard is your fault for allowing me to do so!Sharp scissors should be outlawed!
>>719365567There's no way to use Unreal Engine 5 in the 'right way' because it would still be unoptimized even if it appeared optimized at surface value. I don't think it's even possible to optimize nanite in any significant way that matters, it will always be slow dogshit and there's no correct way around it's inherent slowness.
>>719365567MY BROWN BRAIN CAN'T COMPREHEND UNREAL!MY BROWN HANDS CANNOT WORK WITH NANITE!
>>719365567Even fortnite has compikation stutters
Unreal AND the devs are shit, shocker, imagine thinking two things can't be true at once
It is also worth noting that no one can confidently point towards a single game they consider well optimized that makes use of nanite on UE5. Because if they did it would be quickly scrutinized.
>>719365567>Please stop shitting on my AAA hyper real AI RTX graphics slopkys
>>719365567The reality is somewhere in between. As a general purpose engine made to serve multiple genres, it will have some degree of overhead if you use it AS IS. Emphasis on AS IS. When you use the engine, you get the full source code. You aren't supposed to just use basic and stock shit. And when you use blueprints, you aren't supposed to just leave it at that, you're supposed to go in and use C++ to reimplement it for optimization if it's a more complicated AI web of rules and states. In other words, they made making high fidelity games very accessible. High fidelity is not high quality, by the way. Think about how WEG rendering takes hours on some loser's computer for physically correct high fidelity lighting and clothing texture, yet at the end of the day it's still some ugly plastic doll. Same concept. In any case, Unreal 5 has allowed for really fucking lazy and retarded people to become devs that have absolutely no business being one, to be one.
>>719365567Why do all modern unreal engine games look and feel the same? soulless as fuck man, if this is the future I am done buying new games.
>>719366935Nanite isn't the real performance killer, Lumen is.Granted Nanite does have a cost and depending on how you make assets it can get worse, but generally isn't thee performance killer from the new rendering stuff in the engine.
>>719367798what about marvel tohkon?
