Has anyone had issues running Fallout 2 on Linux? I'm on Steam so I feel like it should just work, but the cursor is getting stuck to the side of the screen so I can't even start the game.

I fucking hate Linux but I'm not paying $140 for windows.

try fucking with resolution and graphic scaling settings in the ini or sfall.exe
t. winblows chad without your problem

Isn't Fallout 2 on Steam the latest updated version that's the Euro release that censors stuff and makes kids invisible?
>>
It's a shitty meme game. Why would you ever want to play Fallout 2?

No they're visible and annoying as fuck.

I've tried that but it's not working. I try to turn on windowed mode and it just doesn't work.

>windowed mode
>doesn't work
You could try running it in gamescope, the ultimate correction for
>dumb old game won't go fullscreen
>dumb old game won't go windowed
>dumb old game hijacks my display settings
>dumb old game crashes on alt+tab
>dumb old game stretches to widescreen
and other such problems with dumb old games.
Unfortunately, gamescope doesn't have pre-compiled releases on its official GitHub, so unless you're using a distribution that packages it or some unofficial repo/PPA that you trust, you'll have to compile from source, which may require checking out some older-than-latest version tag if your distribution doesn't package the latest versions of gamescope's dependencies, not to mention the pain-in-the-ass of figuring out what those dependencies are. Compiling gamescope is not the most user-friendly process in the first place because the README is lacking.

The gog version should work through the Steam's proton layer translator

I'll look into it. Hopefully it works on Mint.
