Is it over?Truly over?Does no one care about her nor her game anymore?Has everyone forgotten?
>>719371414Dude it's a single player game with zero replay value, what do you expect? People to talk about it forever? Give up and play some other game.
>Give up and play some other game.
>>719371414No I don't care about males.
>>719371414>merely 6 months later this single player story driven game isn't half the catalogue at all times anymore What a flop!
>>719371414Everyone still cares about the game. They just don't care about Alicia because she's a crazy bitch.
what is with the idea that a game needs threads here 24/7 else the game is completely and totally gone? I knew we were full of children but object permanency shouldn't be such a problem here
>>719371414>nobody cares about a game made by the chineseShocking.
shes uglyits over
>>719373569I beat the game this morning and granted my boy Verso the death he so desperately craved, watching Lune just sink to the ground as she realized he essentially betrayed her AGAIN made me feel a little bad.
It's time to stop posting.
>>719373764You're talking to literal teenagers from India and Brazil.
>>719374074That was my favorite part cause I didn't like LuneMary sue ass bitch
>>719374156CCP shills pushing their national product again, most likely.
>>719372741It has more replay value than most final fantasy games. It will keep getting plays for years.
>>719373764You're full of children? wtf
>>719374016lmao
I listen to the music almost daily is that not enough?
>>719371414There's no replayabliltyAnd the endings are kinda shit, both of themIt's not like BG3 where there's tons of threads because of how different each playthrough is I had my fun, i think it's goty worthy, but that's itnot much else to say
>>719371414People will care again when it releases on GOG. :D https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/?title=Clair%20obscur&show_only_unreleased=1&sort=relevance&order=desc
>>719374317Wht's your favorite track anon?I'm a fan of Aline, Paintress and Gustavo
>>719374432>It's not like BG3 where there's tons of threads because of how different each playthrough is Yeah right, that's why there's BG3 threads. They totally talk about their playthroughs, uh-huh.
>>719374074>Fell for it again
>>719374210Most FF games have complete overhaul mods now.
Why do some people headcanon that Lune and Verso got together in Maelle's ending? Why the fuck would Lune WANT Verso in the first place after what he did?
>>719372825Bite me dad
>>719375421Shippers are gonna ship. Personally I think they should have thrown his backstabbing ass into the ocean.
>>719375421None of them remember what happened. The only people with memories of the adventure are Alicia and Verso. Do you not understand the full scope of the eldrich horror Verso lives inside in Maelle'a ending?
>>719375421Doesn't Lune fuck Verso in her character events? Probably coming from that
>>719375636>None of them remember what happenedNever stated
>>719376065Yeah they have sex multiple times
>>719374737We Lost, I assume it will play at the game awards.
>>719371414Her face is so cute, can't believe the writers tried to kill her.I wonder if the writers powers are akin to the death note and they wrote Maelle committing arson and burning to death
>>719374074>watching Lune just sink to the ground as she realized he essentially betrayed her AGAIN made me feel a little badShe deserved it, stupid bitch didn't realize she needed Maelle out of the canvas asap if she wanted her world to survive.Actually, the zero input from Lune and Sciel in the final confrontation was disappointing, they don't say shit about matters that will define the fate of their universe
I only beat the game recently too and my impression is that after catching the gaming community by storm, right now people are sort of giving it a breather, or we reached the point where most of the essential has been said and digested. I wonder how the discussion environment was even a month ago thou, when it was still fresh for a lot of people.>>719375421What I gathered is that, in addition of what you may make by the ending, it's hinted also in part of the lyrics in one of the pieces of the OST. Something about the Moon (meaning Lune) being at Verso's bedside. The kid also kinda looks like a mix of Verso and Lune, and he seems particularly close to Lune.An alternative view of the kid is that he is actually that sliver of Verso's soul but repainted to experience life with everyone else.Another counterpoint is that this same kid is actually seen on a few other cutscenes in Act I and II, he seems to be a disciple of Lune and/or a orphanaged kid Maelle finds. So if not the same character, at best he could be a case of re-used assets.Personally, I find Lune and Verso together weird considering how suspicious Verso was and the various times he has betrayed or acted weird with the party (besides what they'd discover about him from various Expedition logs). He's a pathological lier, but at the same time, Lune and the party did go through a lot with him together and they do have similar interests with music, somewhat similar upbringings as the middle sibling and they have a sort of interesting chemistry together. Considering Sciel has her other half ressurrected, and we see Gustave and Sophie, Lune and Verso are kinda left out, so the union of the two would make sense in that ending. I figure Lune would also be a good fit as a pair to somehow revitalize Verso's interests about things while he's still (begrudgingly) alive.
>>719376706>Actually, the zero input from Lune and Sciel in the final confrontation was disappointing, they don't say shit about matters that will define the fate of their universeAs soon as act 3 rolls around, they barely play a role in the game anymoreGod act3 is so shit
>>719376065Lune does not, although she makes Verso know she's aware he's been escaping with Sciel. The one Verso has a more intimate or physical relation is Sciel, but Sciel herself makes it clear she'd dump Verso anytime for her husband if she could have him back.
>>719376797you can bang lune if you dont bang sciel
>>719371414Let's put it this way.I genuinely struggle to think of a more memorable female RPG lead than Maelle Alicia Dessendre.
>>719376883Banging Lune as Verso is weird, they have zero chemistry and Lune actually fucking hates Verso. It would be different if it was like Sciel that just wants a fuck buddy because she is hornyLune was for Gustave(me)
Ben Starr is a bad voice actor. Stuck out like a sore thumb.
>>719376883Do the dialogs really change if you do not progress the bond with the other characters? I don't think that's the case, the character bond progressions seem fairly independent of each other.
>>719377037Nah he is good
>>719377148>Lune is seen writing something in a notebook while Verso is guessing what she is doing. Eventually, Lune confesses she is writing a song during her selfish break. Lune asks Verso to help her 'write a song,' and if he accepts, they'll go away from camp and spend time together, where Lune finally 'releases some pent-up frustration.'>increase relationship with sciel in expedition 33. If players have previously accepted one or multiple of Sciel's advances and spent an intimate night together, as you get the choice earlier than Lune, the option to write a song together won't appear, and Lune cannot be romanced.>You can't romance both Sciel and Lune and can only choose one. Thankfully, the choice you make has nothing to do with any of the endings in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Romance is simply a way to make the game more realistic and doesn't affect any of the characters' behavior towards each other.
>>719377037You're a bad voice actor.
>>719371414I haven't forgotten. It's just that I 100%d it. It was time to move on, like with all single-player games.
>>719377037>>719377169>>719377563Everytime Charlie Big Cox spoke I just heard Matt MurdochI was half hoping someone would call him Red and ask him sumnAnd that's a good thing
>>719376708>>Personally, I find Lune and Verso together weirdThe game really pushes the Sciel x Verso fling since it appears first and locks out the Lune fling. As well, Sciel is so handsy and empathetic with Verso, trying to comfort him multiple times during his moments of grief and dread. So most players will likely take the Sciel route and for Lune x Verso to become a thing "out of nowhere", without the "romance" route, after trying to kill her twice, seems really off.
I SNEED YOUUUUI FEED YOUUUU
>>719377479Oh interesting. I remember that interaction with the song writing but I didn't recall it leading to much as far as that goes. Funny, I was always leaving the interactions I was most interested for last, so in my case that was Lune's. I'm taking her route next time.
It's a game that'll pop up here and there for years to come on /v/. It doesn't need a general-like status and a retarded cult that'll end up being a circlejerk. It's game of the year by a wide, wide margin.
>>719377641Yeah that was pretty much my experience. It already felt off by the last scene of Lune's bond progression as you're in deep with Sciel, when Lune gives him a friendly kiss and seemed even jealous of his escapades with Sciel. Considering how much of Lune's character is built on the prioritization of the expedititon's success and how suspicious Verso is and the kind of liability he presents to the whole thing, getting anywhere near Verso as a romantic interest doesn't really feel right for her character. How could she or anyone even after reading Julie's logs?
>>719371414I wish the power curve wasn't so retarded and there was any semblance of balancing.Loved everything else about the game, but there is no point in replaying, because you need a ton of self-imposed restrictions in order to not crush enemies turn 1.
>>719377641Sciel is the better character too.Lune has the yellow fever and footfag fanbase.
>>719377621I really liked Gustave and Charlie Cox performance, a shame he didn't came back in act 3 with his expanded skill tree like I thought he would, he surely would have made Maelle not go fucking delulu
>>719377641>The game really pushes the Sciel x Verso fling since it appears first and locks out the Lune fling.I really dislike how this game has fake decisions>You can also romance the hot asian girl but actually all the scenes will still have Sciel as the closest to Verso lol>Choose the fate of the canvas! One ending makes sure you know it was the wrong choice and in the other everyone ends happy and you have the characters waving you goodbye as if they were Winnie the Pooh cast
>>719380358Finding and setting up luminas across the dozens of them actually made me delay creating a proper build until I faced Simon. So all in all, my gameplay experience was somewhat balanced
>>719380947>popular thing has huge subredditName 1 popular thing that doesn't have a huge subreddit. I'm waiting.
>>719381581SORRY I CANT ACCEPT YOUR REQUEST. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.
Verso would NEVER tell Maelle the truth about Gustave.
>>719376708>right now people are sort of giving it a breatherMarketing budget just dried up.
>>719381754Name your favorite game so I can post the subreddit statistics.
>It was all a dreamWOWVravo Bince!fucking garbage
It is an RPG classic now, it will sell till the end of the days like Torment or Bloodlines still sell.
Maelleās ending is objectively, morally, and canonically the correct choice. Anybody who says otherwise is a simp for a pathological liar pretty boy.
It's been like 4 months since release and still think about Expedition 33 daily.I haven't played it since May.
