Did you get filtered /v/? NO DEMAKE FAGS
>>719384072No.
more like system shlock LOL
No, I loved playing it. I even have the theme as my ringtone.
>>719384072Yeah, SS1 and UU early 3d gives me some sort of motion sickess. But I could handle TES1&2 just fine, maybe because there wasn't so much verticality.
>>719385825That also could be because SS1 and UU forces you to think and bethesdaslop does not.
>>719384072>NO DEMAKE FAGSI hope your thread Page 10s
>>719384072I like the remake and the original
>>719384072Yeah I got lost and uninstalled.
>>719386114Replying to your shit bait so that it won't page 10s.
I played EE with mouselook. Does that count as being filtered?
>>719384072I played the enhanced edition, am I legit?Stellar game either way
>>719386807Kinda. You can redeem yourself by a mandatory vanilla 3233 playthrough with no freelook mod.Sensaround is your friend.
>>719384072No, it was really good but I prefer System Shock 2.
>>719384072Utterly supplanted by the remake, 0 reason to play this other than pathetic contrarianism
>>719387632>contrarianismUsing this word unironically is the definition of faggotry.
>>719387632the remake looks stupid bc it mixes realistic graphics with unrealistic, utterly gamey level design, ruins immersion pretty much.people who lack taste and sense of aesthetics no need to apply, just move along and consume your cereals in video game form like you always do.
>>719387949Worst thing about that UEslop is the dumbed down movement and physics of the original. In OG you could lean at any angle and adjust it with a micron precision, same applies to crouch. They degraded it to the level of a basic fps where you can just lean left and right with e and q.
>>719387949Post 3x3
>>719387949>>719388337The real crime of the demake is ruining the music, replacing the crazy techno score with generic ambient spooky music because that's what spooky games do. What a fucking joke
>>719384072I'd rather do another run of SS2 or start a Deus Ex's nameless mod playthrough. No point touching it again.
>>7193883979
>>719388430thankfully it's better on every other aspect, especially weapon feedback
>>719384072It's a great game, one of my favorites. I think Enhanced Edition makes it even better with the ability to swap controls by pressing E, as I find situations with both control schemes that I like. It does make the game easier sure, but it's not like I play the game like Doom anyways, and I still get use out of the camera for the back of your head in a few sections (even if it was causing crashes last time I played it). >>719388397nta but sure. Runner ups that didn't make it include Super Metroid, Wizardry V, and Postal 2.
>>719387949I noticed the exact same thing Pirated the remake and had to turn it off during the intro Looks utterly amateurish and borderline an asset flip slop.
>>719388642Best DQ is V, best Ys is Felghana, best SS is 2, best SMT is Vengeance, best RE is 2
>>719388851>best RE is 2retarded>best SS is 2slightly less retarded but still retarded
I played it again and again and got filtered constantly Finally attempted it for like the 4th time and it finally clickedGranted it's the Enhanced Edition so the mouselook is a major normie crutch for me but on this most recent attempt I finally got to the reactor level and the game suddenly clicked with me.The full body leaning and free aim features are really fucking good and I unironically wish some more modern games had it.Only thing I do think is kinda bullshit is the writing down of codes for security nodes thing that you basically need some one to tell you to do before you start a playthrough.Looking forward to beating it and playing System Shock 2 properly (the original not the demastered edition since I don't like the new models)
>>719388851>DQVI like DQV's narrative a ton but I find its world design to be my least favorite of the original games. It feels the most linear outside of like, DQ1, and even then DQ1 is at least super short. It's not a bad game by any means though, and I totally get why it's people's favorite. >Oath in FelghanaIt's better than the original Wanderer's from Ys, I won't contest you there (except on the soundtrack front - the PCE-CD port's arrangements are god tier and some of my favorite vidya music ever). Dawn of Ys would be my favorite if it wasn't for some of the meandering parts of the story and weird call backs to Ys 1 that felt cheap and not well executed. From a gameplay standpoint it's my favorite Ys but the pacing of 1 and 2 is hard to match. >System Shock 2I didn't like it at first when I tried it, but that was years ago. I should give it another fair shake. >SMT VIt's gameplay is great and I love the OST. It's also a very beautiful game at points too. However, I've always been into SFC era Megaten way more for story, atmosphere, and I just love first person dungeon crawling too. I think someone should make a hardtype mod for SMT1 because if there was one thing that I think genuinely hurts it, it's how easy combat is throughout like 90% of it. >RE2I liked RE2, but RE4 is a game I played over 100 times on gamecube alone. I'd come home from school every day and just play a shit ton of it for like a year. Now it's like a once every couple years thing. >>719388957They actually intend for you to backtrack to find all the numbers, and granted it really doesn't take that long to do so but I get why it'd be annoying. I just write them down now too on subsequent playthroughs because why wouldn't I, right?
>>719389152Soulful articulate opinions, thanks for the read anon
>>719384072No, I prefer it over 2.I'm glad people are rediscovering what an absolute banger game it is thanks to the remake.
>>719387632The remake looks terrible.
>>719387632Remake has less content than the original and plays slower
>>719388957The issue with the self destruct code is that not every floor changes it's enemies as you progress.
>>719389152Are we counting DQ6, because the world design there is really ass. Also Ys 2 is kinda ass, 1 works standalone. Also Atlus's best DRPG is probably EOV.Love SMT 2 and Soul Hackers for the vibes, though.
>>719386807Honestly, EE is the way it should be played. The controls make it fucking perfect. Mouse look when you need it, and OG control when you want fine pinpointing.Every FPS should have that feature.
>>719384072No, actually it clicked for me almost immediately. There's no greater feeling than going full blast with the flechette gun, the recoil causing your head to kickback into the ground.
>>719384072No, but its not as good as people make it out to be solid 5 or 6 out of ten compared to actually good game that's SS2. I enjoyed Strike Force Centauri more as well.
>>719384072Yes.I enjoyed it but got stuck a few hours in. IIRC the area was this level with these manta ray invisible enemies that wouldnt seem to die, so i had to use limited sleep darts to get past them.Anyways, I spent a while trying to get past them so I could find some sort of key, or something and couldnt find it.I remember looking it up on YouTube and I had to find one specific head which I might have already dropped, backtracked for an hour, and then gave up.I never got back to it since.I tried the remake but the remake didnt have the cool music and the pipe sound was like i was hitting sand, so I refunded it.
>>719387949>Slightly goofy looking zombievs>Some barely recognizable low res spriteThe remake is sure kinda goofy but more immersive.
>>719392875lol
>>719390756>solid 5 or 6 out of ten compared to actually good game that's SS2Worst goddamn taste I've seen here that wasn't bait.
>>719392875The quirky backer audiologs really add to the immersion of the remake
I honestly find the Demake to be more difficult because the 2D animated gif enemy models of the original game can easily be lean abused to safely take them out. You're also not forced into any cyberspace segments in the original except for the final one with SHODAN. The laser rapier is also a bit more powerful.
>>719386807No. Everyone was playing Doom and Heretic with a mouse by 1995 and both of those use autoaim as well. The original devs even admitted during the anniversary stream it wasn't their intended way to play the game and they wanted mouselook
>>719393754they put reddit in the game? can't be worse than the prey audio logs
>>719395141The lesbians aren't story relevant characters like in Prey. I don't recall gay DnD audio logs but you have someone talking about his wife's son's cat
yes, this recycling sim filtered me
>>719395915the original doesn't have recycling, you got demake'd
>>719395141 Absolutely. I thought I was hallucinating when one of the logs had a dude talking about sourdough starter and his pronoun pins. At least Prey tried to make its logs creepy or sad - these just sound like someone’s Discord server got uploaded to Citadel Station.
>>719386807No, even the devs say you should play with mouselook.
Whats wrong with the remake?
>>719386807Yes. The original controls plays fine and the cursor aim is superior to the mouse aim for majority of cases.
>>719396853Less content, plays slower, more tedious menu navigation, unneeded upgrade and recycling mechanic, worse art direction, dumb story rewrites, immersion ruining backer audiologs, removing the original music because it "doesn't fit the tone."but the backer audiologs do
Remake is good. Not a demake. The hacking segments in the original were genuinely bad. Things are not superior because they are old. You can like more than one thing or version of something.Old Good New Bad and vice-versa is primitive tribalism mindset.
>>719397658>Old Good New Bad and vice-versa is primitive tribalism mindset. Then you wouldn't be asking for a remake of an old game. How are they superior? They ruined a hacking puzzle or two
>>719384072Beat the game a few years back. Still missing a couple of achievements, but I'm not playing that game on maximum difficulty to get them.
