Clearly a butthurt bears fan. The bears are the worst fan base in the sport outside of the cowboys. At least when other teams suck their fans eventually realize it and media stop giving a shit about them. The bears are titans/Jags level of boring and still get talked about non stop

> Didn't the Blackhawks suck so bad back in the 50s the league made the other teams give them players or something?
I have no idea but I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s like all the sunbelt teams being subsidized by the O6 teams because they barely get any revenue when they’re not good. Infomercials got higher tv ratings in Florida than the Panthers in 2011-12.

You're right about the hut and loot boxes, deranged about the music, and missing that they barely change the game year over year. Just like all the sports games, companies have perfected doing the bare minimum year after year. Single player modes are barely touched and still have easy to fix glitches year after year

Most based things I've read on here in a long time. Am I crazy for wanting CMC at 5th overall in a half point ppr 10 man league? His bye is right before the fantasy playoffs this year. I figure he has a better chance at being fresh for those games

They’ll be good again next year, but it’s tough to sustain in a cap league. Overall they’re just a plastic franchise, they win back to back cups and nobody really cares. Bad for the league imo.

I'm biased because he's burnt me hard multiple years, including with a 1st pick
there's just better options at 5th this year. I got JJ 6th somehow last week. hurt me to take him over Sun God but he's the entire vikeks offense and loins share the wealth too much

No worse than a big market team winning. Those teams get their dicks sucked by media no matter what they do. Nice to hear about a different franchise in between updates on how the Rangers, Wings, and Hawks are trying not to be shit this year. I swear I heard more about the Blackhawks than any other Western conference team last year, despite them being the same team they've been for years now. Just wait for them to actually get good before covering them so much

his decision making is literally the reason you got sent home both times in the playoffs by teams you should've beaten

People who didn't play any sports growing up definitely have shit taste and are usually selfish because they don't know what it's like to be part of a team. The kind of "shows up to work and takes a dump for 15 minutes without a single thought that their coworkers hate them" energy. Retards who hate their boss, but don't realize they are on a team. Self-centered energy.
>>719399237
They went heavy on the 3v3 formula and the last one I played was 24 and it was nothing but people quitting as soon as they were down 3-0. Rarely did any matches get finished.

This might be Assassin's Creed. The wings are basically not talked about any more, and I watch a lot of hockey content.
Since Valhalla, nobody really gives a shit about Asscreed, because the formula is so vanilla and nobody gives a shit about the lore. Asscreed has been uninteresting for 5 years, just like the wings.

i dont know about hockey but in basketball detroit is complete and utter shit for about 7-9 years then they become hall of fame dogs for 4 years then back to irrelevancy. its very fascinating. pistons' bad boy dna is awakening and the lions are about to implode in the next 2 years. dont blow it detroit.
>>
>>719397878
It's not incompetence. It's literal full blown corporate sabotage and greed. They focused primarily on big short term gains over maintaining quality, thinking paypigs with drones will keep consooming regurgitated shit they'll pump out and it worked for a while, i's been happening for past 13-14 years. Activision knew mtx and fomo would sell so they went all in with it, forced mass layoffs despite record breaking yearly earnings, and kept going until they hit the wall and lost all OG talent with competent junior talent who wanted to succeed the OGs and had all the ambition. Now they can't save shit because people today are broke, drones with zealots got old or got tired of gaming, nobody sane minded wants to work for Blizzard, and because younger generations don't want to pick up on Blizzard shit because they noticed ongoing patterns.
It's more of same with Call of Duty, more and more people are refusing to buy newer games because they are inferior to older games.
>>
>>719400865
The Pistons were really good in the late 80s/early 90s too. They won 2 'ships then too.

CFL has a rule were you if kick the ball and it comes to a stop in the opponents end zone, you still get a point
so a shanked field goal could still result in 1 point, which would have broken then 30-30 split.
Also it's a rule in any kind of football you are allowed to kick it anytime you want as long as you are behind the line of scrimmage, which is what lead to them kicking it back

The strike in, 2004?, really killed it. Fans went elsewhere, players retired, rules got rewritten like the offsides rules and the brawling ended. So it's now offense is forever outnumbered and any goal is pure chance.

It was the 2005 season that got canned, but yeah, that was the point where hockey stopped being as fun and entertaining. I’m not a fan of the new rules and also hate how the chopped the league’s balls off to try and decrease the amount of fights and injuries. Watching players now fake injuries and frantically check their faces for blood during mild hits just so they can send another player to the box on a major penalty is like watching little kids tattle on each other on the playground. It’s just so fucking tame now. I still like NHL hockey, but there’s no question it’s a shadow of what it once was. Those closest it ever got to being as good as it was in the 90s was the Four Nations tournament earlier this year, but really it was no better than an average pre-2005 games. I miss it so much bros.

Fun fact, leafs still play football on rugby fields, while mericans play football on soccer fields because Harvard didn't have a rugby field.
>>
>>719405092
I think that was probably because there was still quite a few dead puck era players still in the league old habits die hard. Virtually all those guys are gone now and it’s just a bunch of whiny zoomer players mostly. Again, I still enjoy it overall, but it’s like remembering a band in their prime and watching them reunite years later and them not even being remotely as good as they once were.

>>

it's because Harvard tried to play to soccer rules at first but nobody liked it, so they swapped to rugby rules but didn't see need to change the field because it's only a ten yard difference.

Command and Conquer
>>
>>719404258
It wasn't a strike, it was a lockout. Players initiate strikes, owners initiate lockouts. Owners wanted a salary cap for cost certainty and sacrificed an entire season to get it. Then, when the league was healthy in 2012, they locked out again for half a season even though the players came to the table already making concessions on contract length limits (owners were too stupid to stop offering 30 year old professional athletes 9+ year long contracts, so they had to make rules about how long contracts could be). It's a shame that the most powerful people in hockey don't really give a shit about hockey unless it makes then money. For years the players have been wanting to play for free in the Olympics, but the IOC and NHL owners won't let it happen because the money is big enough for them

Also the limitations of the offsides rules and 2 line passes.

No, I grew up watching that era so I have plenty of nostalgia and appreciation for the greats of the time, but it's an objective fact that depth across the league was fucking ass, and you had plenty of teams that were just filled top to bottom with absolute shitpumps that would be lucky to make the AHL today. Even with expansion, the baseline quality of play is tiers better today, which is why it's harder for the elite players to stand out.
I'm not saying guys like Forsberg would be third line players today because that's obviously wrong, I'm saying the only reason you think those guys are so far ahead of today's top line players is because today's top line players have to play against much superior depth.

Alcaraz and Sinner are both frail mentally to put it lightly and their bodies are already giving them issues.

Shitty defenders relied on clutch-and-grab to hide their incompetence. When the league cracked down on that, it meant players had to get better at actually defending through good position play, breaking up passes, and winning puck battles.

Not a fair comparison. OKC is black as fuck. I don't think I've ever met a nigger from Pittsberk, despite growing up a few hours away.

For those that don't know, NHL points are lifetime goals and assists. You get 2 for a Goal, one for an Assist.
If you took away all of Gretzky's goals, meaning you only count his assists, which are again one worth one point, Gretzky is still first overall. By a lot, actually.

20% of the population is black, but they're all Steelers fans. PA blacks are like southern blacks where the NFL is all they care about. basketball is a west coast black thing. Pistons, Bulls, Celtics, et al most of their fanbase is white.

The NHL games have barely improved since the skill stick was added like 15 years ago. I played nhl 2k7 recently and it had a ridiculous amount of offline content and the franchise was deeper than modern nhl. I hate EA and HUT so much.
>>
>>719417042
I don't even think EA has an exclusive license with the NHL, just nobody else wants to make their own version. like with the NBA, EA just gave up on making Live games because the 2K series outsold them 10:1. no exclusivity license necessary.
