Nah. People just got better overall and/or there are more closet cheaters than we realize. I wasn't even that good at aiming while young but it was fine because there wasn't as much competition and almost everyone was playing for fun.

I play ranked when I play multiplayer games like that, I just don't care about my rank. Usually quicker queue times and less leavers, etc. making games a waste of time.
