It's unironically one of the best Soulslikes of all time. The level design is insane and combat is fun.

The game itself isn't bad. The game itself is really good and on release, was probably my favorite game released this year. However, the 1.5 changes ruin the theme of the story which is something I don't like happening in any game. It was good the way it was but the devs decided to be cowards. If you're gonna play it, you may as well torrent a version that is pre-1.5. There's a lot of sub context when it comes to why the story changes were made but it doesn't really justify those changes, in my opinion.

It's fun, the levels are pretty open until much later in the game giving you some space to explore. Also has great optional areas. The quest system is messy, you'll probably get a shit ending the first time around. Not being able to hit the villagers anymore and having them throw pebbles at you aint as big of a deal as people make it out to be but seeing liu wenxiu collapse and then just stand in the arena with no interaction possibilities is a pretty shit fix to chinas complaints
I dropped it because its too hard for me, and after Elden Ring I changed my mind on these type of games, all that stress and suffering just to kill one boss is not worth it.

To my knowledge, there's no lewd censorship and you can still run around in the many bikini armours, of which there are many.
