>computer technology is not good enough for an FPGA PS2Sadface.
software mode in pcsx2 is accurate like a real ps2. the only drawback is you cant use your gpu.
>>719403692Just use your original ps2 broNot my problem that zoomers weren't alive when gaming was cool.
>>719403758This.Software mode is the most accurate rendering method, it is 100% identical to PS2. The CPU is emulating everything so its the most intensive.
I think you can try to find a CPU with a similar ISA and make it work. You might be better off just finding a working PS2.>>719403758Does it use the integrated graphics ?
>>719403692The PS3 emulated the PS2 CPU and GPU.
>>719403952Which is software.
FPGAs could never.
>>719403841>Just use your original ps2 browhat's the point of this thread. pcsx2 can perfectly and faithfully emulate almost everything.even a hacked PS3 can play most PS2 games
>>719403952That's model-specific.The CECHA and CECHB revision motherboards have full hardware backwards compatibility; they literally have the EE, GS and rambus on the motherboard which are used when you play discs (or mount ISOs on CFW.) The only thing the Cell/RSX is responsible for is outputting video (not rendering, just video output.)
>>719408635He wasn't talking about that. He meant after they removed it and started selling PS2 Classics on the store.
>>719408764Read that post again and tell me where exactly he was that specific, anon.
>>719403758>the only drawback is you cant use your gpu.Well that's what paraLLEl-GS is for, it runs the software renderer in compute shaders so you can run it on your GPU.
