Why don't you own one?
>>
I got a PC that can emulate it
>>
>>719406087
How do you emulate portability?
>>
>>719406182
there's no need to
>>
I do not leave my house

Do you ever leave your computer chair?

I bought a Lenovo Go S instead because it runs steam OS and it has a way more powerful chipset
I don't regret it one bit
It's a solid fucking handheld and has been able to play everything I've thrown at it so far
>>
>>719406283
Coping, got it.
>>
>>719406545
You realize portable consoles are for children, right?
>>
>>719406451
Battery life is inferior tho isn't it
>>
>>719406027
I just play everything on my pc, i don't need the 'eck.
>>
>>719406027
I don't need it or want it.
>>
>>719406027
Waiting on Steam Deck 2 or whatever they call it, at this point. Feels like if I get a Steam Deck now, it’ll be a bit late.
>>
>>719406770
the Gameboy, the DS, the PSP, the switch were all for pissant baby children. The steam deck is for fat man children.
>>
Planning to get an 'eck, and the question is OLED or LCD?
>>
I do own one but I mostly get use out of it now for streaming Tubi shows to a portable monitor.
>>
>>719406027
I got an Odin 2 Mini and am far happier with it.
>>
>>719406829
Depends on the game and the performance mode.
Most I've gotten is ~4 hours while emulating ocarina of time.
Witcher 3 is maybe an hour.
Realistically I use it around my house, in hotels and on the plane so I'm never far enough from a charging station for it to matter.

What would I even use it for? Playing games in my bed instead of at my desk that is three feet away? Only manchildren would dare whip this thing out in public.

Too big

Too expensive

I'll rather get Deck 2
>>
>>719407007
OLED model not only looks better it also has bunch of under the hood improvements. Burn in schizos never had oled display.
>>
OP you gay faggot...im literally replying to you on a steam deck with a decktop keyboard (Shitpostin while takin a shit)
My kids also both have steam decks. These things are fucking everywhere now.

Some of us know better than to buy something designed to self destruct
>>
>>719406027
Can't justify the purchase. I don't travel often, if I'm not home it's because I'm busy with something else, if I'm in bed it's because I want to go to sleep. Maybe if I lived in a proper house with a garden and a pool it'd be worth it to avoid always being indoors but as it is, not really.

>>
>>719407648
Sounds like cope because you got LCD one and regret it. Even if it came to that, which would be at least 8 years down the line, you can easily change the screen. Deck is very repairable.
>>
>>719406451
I got one of these as well and I love it. despite the size it is very comfortable, the screen is of a decent size and has vrr. I opened mine and put a 2tb nvme plus a 1tb ad card. It holds pretty much everything I could possibly want
>>

I'm a poor macaco. If I wanted a handheld, I'd get one of those chink pocket emulators that go for less than $50.

because I have a Switch 2 that has exclusives. I have a gaming PC for PC games (and posting here).
>>
>>719406027
its too expensive
600 is to much i can get a laptop with 3x the performance for 700
>>
>>719410548
What model of laptop has better performance, lifespan, display and battery life than the Deck while also being around the same price?
>>
Snoys and Steamsnoys make these Steam Deck shill threads for free.

The sad part is that they don't even get paid.

>>
>>719406027
I got Legion GO when it was released, it's by far the best one in the handheld PC space with the only issue being it's size. I've used it for a while until i realised the portability isn't worth playing the games with shittier performance than my PC, nevermind games like MMOs or strategy games that are just painful without KBM so i sold it after it was collecting dust for months. I see no reason to get a Steam Deck instead of literally any other choice though.
>>
>>719407341
This.
If I want third party games I just pirate them on PC
>>
>>719406027
Because I value my self control and don't want to live a life of non-stop indulgence and fry my dopamine receptors and turn into a zoomer zombie.
>>
>>719406027
sold it since it was just catching dust
>>
>>719411351
You forgot price point. They're all at least 3x more expensive than the Deck. Battery life still matters too if you're going for portability.

Steam Deck 2 will release early 2028, I may just get the Steam Deck, at this point.
>>
>>719406451
I cannot imagine getting anything in this form factor without the trackpads after getting used to them on the Deck. I don't know why every other company didn't copy them, since I don't think Valve has any patents on a tactile trackpad.

How grim.
>>719412719
The PSP is the only Sony machine exempt from Snoy-hate. Being a portable PS1 machine put it miles ahead of the PSP. But you're better off emulating it on phones/Deck with 60fps hacks and HD textures.
>>
