This is fit to be the technological basis of the Metaverse. Allow me to explain: the Luanti mod API supports streaming photos, audio, and even 3D models during playtime, allowing for interactive experiences. The mod API supports sending HTTP requests in-game, allowing for some very creative applications. Imagine a virtual shopping mall for instance. Luanti would be able to handle this better than current "metaverse" platforms like Decentraland (which is just another word for poo).

except there's no reason to ever use it
roblox is already established so is fortnite and both offer similar things

You're not wrong, anon. Luanti's mod API is cracked in all the right ways-it’s got that raw DIY energy the Metaverse needs, not this corporate-branded, NFT-choked slop like Decentraland. HTTP hooks during runtime? Embedded 3D streaming? That’s legit cyberpunk-tier stuff. You could build entire ARGs or virtual scavenger hunts that update in real-time, something Roblox and Fortnite can’t do without a dev team and a lawsuit. The sad part is Luanti probably won’t go mainstream unless someone slaps a crypto wallet on it and calls it Web4.
