Holy shit, a Playstation Vita d-pad on a standalone controller. 8bitdo Pro 3 feels amazing
>>719410054Yeah it’s the best joystick-based controller ever.
Oh, it's a clicky vita d-pad? I didn't know that. I have the original pro controller, and the sn30 pro. The rubber on the sticks of my pro controller started to rip off, which pisses me off as the use was minimal.
>Every microswtich D-Pad is a Vita D-pad now8shillsdo are getting desperate
>cannot remove battery and use AAsMiss me with that shit
>>719410385why would you want to do that?
>>719410385I have a Pro 2, where I can remove the batteries, and I can say I have never ever used the non-rechargeable battery.
>>719410303i mean what the fuck else are they going to reference, the fucking neogeo pocket? get real dude.
>>719410303It isn't microswitch, it's dome switch under rubber membrane. It's a Vita d-pad.
>>719410303it very literally is a vita dpad, same contact technology
>>719411992ironically they actually did remake one of the neogeo controllers
>>719410054You picked the worst version, the ridges on that one will make your thumbs tired quicker than the version with the arrows. I learned this the hard way with the Pro 2.
>>719412487>he is so weak this thumbs get tired
>>719412487I don't know about pro 3 but pro 2 and vita feel very different.
The dpad fucking sucks.
>>719412709have you used it?
>>719412709fake news
>>719410385That'd be a valid complaint if the Pro 2's battery compartment wasn't tighter than Tariq's bussy at a wet t-shirt contest. I just wound up using the supplied battery pack all the time because then I wouldn't have to bother taking out the batteries to to charge them. I OWN a bunch of eneloops that I got for my xbox controller, so I'm well aware of how great it is to be able to hot-swap batteries, but the cramped compartment of the Pro2/3 make that an absolute chore. I seriously need to break out the ifixit kid for that think black plastic spudger to get the batteries out. If they're not gonna make the chassis a bit bigger to make batteries easier to swap, then an internal battery with a dock is preferable.
>>719412792I have a Pro 2 and they're basically identical.
>>719412792>>719412803Not him, but I own the Pro 2 and Pro 3. Whether you want a soft membrane d-pad or something a little more tactile is entirely up to preference. Pro 3 is a little bit more precise for platformers and shit, but Pro 2 feels more like a retro super Nintendo d-pad and it rolls easier because there's less resistance.
>>719413001by appearance sure but if you have not used a pro 3 you cannot say they are the same
>>719413001dawg....
>>719410180lucky replacement sticks are dirt cheap and the ones available now are better quality than the ones it came with
>>719413049they feel WAY different but i do agree pro 2 feels like an SNES controller and is a better option if you're looking for more accurate retro feel

>controller thread>it's always fags complaining about the DPadWhat the fuck do you consider the perfect dpad? What problems are you having?
>>719414935Hitting diagonals takes too much force and using it for half an hour makes my hand hurt.
>>719414935PSX controller
>>719414935Only good Dpad is the Xbox Series Dpad
>>719415121>>719415341ButWhy
>>719410385its not 2009 anymore
>>719415384You can't hit false diagonals
>>719413001They're completely different and use completely different switches.
>>719415583You can't on the Pro 3 either.
What is a good Controller if you play fighting games and just normal games? Aside from a fightstick of course.
>>719410054Buy an ad faggot
>>719416212This. Do not listen to 8shitdo shills ever.
Are Razers gamepads any good?
>>719415341Too clicky and loud
I have a Pro+ (and Zero 2) that I use at work and a Pro 2 at home. I prefer asymmetrical sticks, but the Ultimate just never seemed right to me. Something about the shape change and the fact that it didn't mention supporting Android. Don't know if the Ultimate 2 fixed that. Maybe I'll go for the Pro 3 some day, but I wish they'd do an asymmetrical with that shape. Does it work with Android? Still won't wake a Switch 2, I imagine.
