ITT: Games you were too harsh on

Shankar's slop bummed me out so much that I actually went and replayed. It's a lot better than I gave it credit for. The Dante here is a billion times better than that fucking Netflix Deadpool wannabe.
>>
It's kino
>>
It's actually good.
>>
You guys shit on this one for the dumbest reasons. It's not that hard and everything is explained in detail for you. Git gud

Last RE before the series truly died.

I wouldn't go that far. At least Netflix Dante never said the F word

The only good thing about this game was some of the envirmental design.

It's probably the worst attempt at a reboot ever.

man, i remember being interested in the trailer, that had emo nuDante, and a sadder vibe to it, too bad they changed it.

Also the game had a better keyboard and mouse control scheme than dmc4. Maybe controller one was worse than before, i dunno.

This one was unfinished. Definitive edition was actually pretty good
>>719415328
Yeah

No difference between this and the netflix show, both trash.
>>
>>719418770
plotwise maybe, but you can't "play" the netflix show.

Once 5 came out and all was forgiven, I played DmC thinking it might actually be good. And while it wasn't as offensive now that it no longer killed the series:

>PS3 version was still very buggy; animation failures in every level, dropped through the floor twice, enemies logic seems to have broken multiple times
>runs like total shit even at 30FPS with pop-in and slow loading times throughout
>lack of lock on and directional inputs is a nightmare at times
>a paltry 6 bosses, almost all of which are as complex as a Crash Bandicoot boss
>colour coded enemies in the late game are actively annoying to fight
>most regular enemies are incredibly simplistic. Often times I'd kill a flying projectile cherub by accident because I unknowingly deflected their bombs. One time one of the fat ones nudged another fatty into an instant death hole while I just stood still.
>one early level can be complete sequence broken on a replay when you have the air dash
>the two additional weapons later on only have one useful move each
>guns and completely pointless and even messier with the lack of lock on
>DT is so rare and weird to use that I forgot it existed until I HAD to use it to beat Vergil (who bugged out on me 3 times in the one fight)
>it's piss easy

>the story is actually fucking awful to the point that Mundus and Lilith are the most sympathetic characters
>the game rips off tonnes from Alice: Madness returns, which is a seperate post
>levels are so abstract that the upside down one doesn't feel like it's upside down
>Donte goes into a weird mind palace (?) that's never explained
>time slows down during the Vurgilmobile escape sequence for some reason
>the rules of Kat's magic and how to get in and out of Limbo are inconsistent
>game starts off as a guerilla war against Mundus' control but ultimately it's only the big nuke that goes off at the end that does anything, and none of it seems good

It's pretty damn bad, in general, not just as a DMC game.
