gran turismo career it's super simple, you start with little money and by winning races you get money to buy or upgrade cars. but since gt5 they implemented micro transaction, which destroy the fundamental principle on the GT mode.poliphony should just drop the pay to win and have some sort of multiplayer subscription

I own every game except 5 here is my opinion: My favorites are GT1 and GT7. GT1 has a tight arcade mode to burn through, and a decent career mode with lots of soul. '98 Japan is the coolest era and roster for a racing game. GT7 feels insanely good with the dualsense controller and on PS5 has zero loading screens. This makes it the best game in the franchise. PS4 version doesn't do it justice. Only problem is the cafe/culture/interface is really "gay". Cars and coffee uppity rich fag car culture.I understand liking 2 or 3, they're great. Fair favorites.I don't understand all y'alls love for GT4. 4 sacrifices style for realism and is a bit too ambitious for the PS2. None of the races or tracks felt their best to me it was like a jack of all trades thing master of none. I've tried to make the 1080i mode look good on my HDCRT which should be perfect for it and it still looks jittery and worse than GT5. Like I said, its almost too ambitious for its hardware, its cool that it pushes the limit but it got outclassed by the PS3 games and beyond in realism so its main draw was robbed of it. Some of you may be familiar with how GT3's baked in lighting was much softer than 4's sterile grey lighting?lastly the era of car culture is important. PS2 era was rough because I don't give a shit about the Ford Focus and a bunch of ugly early 2000s mercedes clogging up the roster. At least the PS3 and onwards games have GTRs and newer vettes and good Camaros. 5 was mostly loading screens and weird hardrive downloads. GT6 came along and I never played 5 again. 6 is decent. Sport was gay and I should've waited for 7.>tldr GT7 on PS5 is peak and only a sourgrapes poorfag would think differently. GT4 is weirdly overrated on this board. Probably was your first GT game. My first and favorite is 1, so nostalgia is a hell of a bias.
