I don't like this way of thinking. We're all unique and it's a good thing.

I burned out on the series after playing 0-6 and dropping Y7
Like a Dragon is a piece of shit, the combat is gay and everything feels dragged out

I wanna get into Yakuza, which one should I buy? There's a sale rn
>>

0, for the plot then kiwami 1-2 if you liked. Then move to 3 & 4 and finally 5 to fully enjoy the series.

Skip the new titles

Thanks pimp, just bought 0. Now I have to figure out what to do with the other 20 burning a hole in my steam wallet

btw Sega is not making -75% discount as they used to, just get a single game and wait until they cut the bs.

Pirate the gog versions instead of blowing money on them they dont deserve it

Personally, I feel Yakuza 0 is the best place to start, its a prequel to the series, you'll miss a few nods to the older games but its a great game by itself, great story and good combat. If you like it enough you'll enjoy the rest of the series. From there you can just play them in order, 1-6. The kiwami games are remakes of 1 and 2. You could start with Kiwami 1, but I feel the story in that one is kinda weak.

You can also start with Yakuza 7 (Like a dragon) its a new protag so it is a good starting point, but its turn based combat unlike the others which are action combat.

either release order, or 0>kiwami 1>kiwami 2>3 onward.

the kiwamis are remakes, but they also changed and added a bunch of stuff that assumes you played 0. 0 also assumes youve already played the entire series, but its all pretty minor references and "non-canon" jokes.

Yeah m-

oh....oh no....

I only played Yakuza 1 on the PS2 and I thought the game was too easy. Just a bunch of fetch quest and fights in a row. There were maybe two or three times where I didn't get it the first time around. That being said, it's a fun game
>>
>>719418925
It's a bunch of testosterone-filled shirtless men punching each other. I get it.
