It pretty much does though. If you summon a sword summon it will swing its sword the moment its summoned every time. Presuming an enemy is within sword range.
And similarly with other summons. They've all got on-summon actions that are predictable and consistent.

So if you want to melee fight, you summon a melee fighter and just re-summon the fighter after it attacks.

disagree, if it was just another action adventure, it would feel like a simple Link reskin, Princess Zelda ordering minions around also fits her character as a ruler much better.
