They absolutely know that the people that would want a Medieval 3 have VERY high standards for what they want out of that game, and not meeting these standards WILL ensure in word of mouth getting out and halting any and all sales.2. CA is a "revolving door" company where all the inexperienced people go to grain experience and then immediately leave for literally anywhere else once they start becoming even slightly competent, so being able to deliver on the quality standards of the Medieval 3 fanbase will require an exorbitant amount of effort.3. They know damn well the amount of effort required to make the game up to those standards will also require an investment of time, thus money, so large that it becomes a financial risk to do so, Rome 1 nearly bankrupted the company and this would be no different.4. CA executives utterly HATE Total War and if they had their way would have buried the franchise already to branch out into trend chasing garbage to please investors.
