You can tell the section after entering the open head was added just to pad out the dungeon, it's all just boring block pushing with some fire kites two rooms in a row with two empty hallway connections, it needed more gimmicks making use of the actual dungeon item.

I know there's one in the deku tree the devs intended you to backtrack for once you have the boomerang, but you could cheese it by shooting the bug with your slingshot and then jumping at the right angle to collect the token. I remember cause kid me spent like 10 minutes brute forcing getting that skulltula until I found the right way to jump at it, I hate having to backtrack.

I think there's also another one in the room with those dodongo larva that burrow out of the ground. it's up on a ledge that you have to play the scarecrow song to summon pierre or whatever his name is and hookshot up as an adult.
