Why are there no video games combining the "hero" from "hero shooters" (which make no sense in my opinion), and racing? Hero racing as a genre would make a ton of sense.>Roster of racers and their vehicles>Each vehicle has unique hitboxes, health, and abilities>Sci-fi aesthetic = Literally ANY design or ability is okay>Unlimited environmental options and hazardsLiterally just make a Redline video game. This driver and his racecar is PURE speed, with a small hitbox, maximum nitro. This driver is hugely bulky, low acceleration, but lots of health and defensive options. This driver's car has a mode which can abuse certain terrain for a potential short-cut or to avoid the pack. This driver as a couple of missiles to fuck people up.Seriously where's my Redline game?
>>719463071so double dash?
>>719463126racers aren't tied to vehicles and abilities aren't tied to racers/vehicles
>>719463269double dash gave every racer a unique special ability
>>719463071Redline would be a dream, OP.
>>719463071Twisted Metal? The characters and their vehicles have a ton of personality
>>719463071That's LITERALLY what F-Zero is.
>>719463071Did you mean F-Zero?
>>719463071Sorry buddy but racist only like driving sim
>>719463071cel damage was kinda like that except I don't know if they had different hitboxes and stats but they had unquie personalities and their own special weaponswhat you're suggesting could have been an evolution of the car combat genre but it just straight up stopped existing instead
