Are there any games that can be described as such? Same vibe, same structure, but there's no mons, and it's the humans that fight. And no, I don't mean RPGs in general, I mean games that feel like Pokemon without the pokemon.

>>719466115In Wander Hero you can recruit/enslave people and make them fight in a fantasy setting, but the gameplay is different since you "shoot" your warriors against monsters and make them bounce to multiply their attacks and activate special skills. It's easy to mod so you can add your favorite characters in the game. You could also try Hero Adventure, chinese rpg with lots of characters you can recruit, you can teach them active and passive techniques, change their equipment and it has a branching story.Or maybe try the suikoden series.
