What's the best Senran Kagura game on steam?
Are they all Musou shit? I'd like to try this series for the girls, but I hate Musou.
bumpoi
>>719469838Burst Re:Newal or Estival Versus. Shinovi versus is also decent as a port.
Burst Renwal for storyShinovi for controlsEstival for fanservice>>719470031These aren't actual musous and thank God for that. I don't want to capture bases and command armies and all that shit.
>>719470031They're all musou shit. Senran Kagura is a franchise you play for the girls, not because you want a good videogame.
Sensei
>>719472975I mean I think burst renewal was pretty good.
Cake!

>>719469838Burst Renewal
>>719470031>>719472975They're 3D beat-em-ups, not a single one is a musou.Musou is not a synonym for 3D beat-em-up>>719469838Burst renewal is probably the best and has the best port, but there's not a lot of content.Estival versus has a lot of content, but the story sucks and the gameplay is even more button mashy than the others.shinovi versus is jankier than estival, but the story is a lot better. Gameplay is about the same as Estival give or take, but the PC port is pretty ass depending on your card (the fps will randomly go into single digits for me)The 3DS games are also pretty good (for what they are).as for spin-offs:>PBSpeople will shit on it, but i genuinely really like it. it adds some nice replay value by letting you customize your team, their weapon loadout, and their card layout; with lots of stuff to collect and characters/cards from the gacha. The optimization is pretty shit and the game starts chugging though, and in full teams it becomes too hectic and you're pretty much just abusing broken cards constantly and trying to kill other players in one shot so their shield doesnt save them. Game would've been great if it was 3v3 instead and had better performance and balance. people complain about the reloads a lot too without realizing you can cancel them with jumps, which speeds it up quite a lot. Final boss also crashed on my AMD pc so i had to switch to my laptop>Reflectionsdogshit. just minigames essentially>Pinballthree tables, and the minigames inside the tables get repetitive fast. the actual tables themselves are decent for a few hours though>Jet girlsgenuinely one of the worst racers i've ever played. made it to the final few races without upgrading my jetski and the opponents were so fast that it was impossible to catch up. after upgrading, i was so fast it was impossible for THEM to catch up. Almost all the tracks are just completely flat with nothing going on, and the weapons are useless because youre too far ahead
>>719475958>They're 3D beat-em-ups, not a single one is a musou.Really? I think the Google AI might have fooled me then.
>>719475958>They're 3D beat-em-ups, not a single one is a musou.Rather than having level design and progression, they're always square arenas where you face hundreds of enemies at the same time and 200+ hits combos are the norm; they're textbook examples of musou.>>719476073Senran Kagura fans always try to sell the games as something they aren't out of a sense of superiority. It's similar to how someone releases a Dark Souls clone and then claim it isn't because it has a couple different mechanics.
>>719469838Burst Renewal no question.>>719470031Yeah, they are all mild musou button mash games with zero balance. Some playable characters have nearly no recovery frames and just melt through shit. Some have obnoxiously long recovery frames that you wonder if they ever planned to even have this char playable and not for example be just an enemy boss. It's a genuinely terrible video game series BUT the characters in it are so fucking good. Like I'm not a coomer sense, they have really good design and writing in the first two games. Like Oneechanbara series has pretty decent gameplay but garbage characters and enemy design, but SK has garbage gameplay and great character and enemy design. The 3DS games are the same shit, just in 2.5D locked camera form, but they still function in identical way in terms of gameplay. SK2 on 3DS had a mild gimmick ala Oneechanbara where you can switch to a secondary character mid-combo, but it doesn't change shit when you can mash infinites without even learning about the combat at all.
>>719469838Shinovi Versus
>>719476073>the Google AIThe Google AI in search is shit. Gemini is actually one of the best models, but whatever they did to it for that feature lobotomized it.
>>719469838I haven't played them but what that other person said should be correct. Burst Re:Newal for the story, Shinovi Versus for the gameplay and Estival Versus for the fanservice, I've played the Switch version of Peach Ball...I like it but it's easy to ignore and I wouldn't say it's the best Senran Kagura game in general.
>>719475958Peach Ball only has two tables, unless there's a secret third one you get for finishing all the campaigns or something, but I'm pretty sure there's only two.
>>719476073Google AI is really iffy with his sources, I tried confirming if corruption pylons existed in Terraria and it confirmed it did and how to get them and sourced a thread on reddit of someone suggesting how a hypothetical corruption pylons could work
I refuse to believe someone is trying out Senran Kagura for the first time in 2025
>>719469838Hair down Asuka is cute.
>>719476073They play exactly like Musou's with some 1v1s and some bad small levels.
