Now that No Man's Sky is getting tons of traction, is this nay good?
>>719475732Is it nay good? NoIs it any good? Yes... If you want to play a game like E:D at least, mustard isn't good to people who don't like mustard
I put so much time, effort, and money playing ED and shitting on NMS.Now I feel that I've made the wrong choice.
Do you like the things that elite dangerous does?If so, yeah, its good.Do you not like the things that elite dangerous does? Then no, its not. That will be $50, retard
>>719475732Reinstalled ED a while ago and after refreshing my memory with couple of training missions haven't launched the game since.
>>719475732I just wanted to try getting as far out I to empty space as I could, but then I had to do all those weird things to get the more powerful jump drive or whatever. It really put me off the game, and I never would have figured it out without youtube. I wish you could just buy it from the beginning.
>>719475732It is great for about 100 hours.Theb you realize there is nothing to do.
>>719475732The only situation where this game is good, is because you bought an overpriced HOTAS set up and want something to play thats scifi and not scam citizen. But beyond that I can't imagine why the fuck you would want to play this game. Firstly it has the same ultimate problem of NMS and Scam Citizen; you do X to get a tool that makes you do X but a bit better. It never changes, improves or introduces anything interesting. You're not playing Terraria where the objective is to get from shit gear to ok gear to fight a boss and progress to better gear that operates differently to fight another boss. Hauling/fighting/exploring dogshit at the start is the same as hauling/fighting/exploring that dogshit at the end of the game. What they tried to do is introduce factions/colonies, but all that does is mean instead of selling your dogshit to NPCs, you sell it to NPCs that "grow" and claim systems. It functionally changes nothing, except you might get a shitty tiny payout from it. Because they refuse to allow this to be an MMO and refuse to allow players to be the traders, base builders and actual controlling powers of the universe. The only gameplay loop that changes is going from mining with lasers to mining cores. Thats it. The rest stay fucking identical. Plus there is endless other archaic backwards decisions that have murdered the games player count, like open being a PvP free for all with no punishments and the total lack of easy grouping systems with randoms (or even friends, total clusterfuck).
>>719475732It was good before they fucked it up with the xpac, graphics became worse which was noticable. Also once you get a good ship there's nothing to do besides trying to find Raxla
>>719478524>>719475732Oh and then the true 'end game' is fucking engineers. The most convoluted boring piece of shit upgrade system ever. I've never played a game more fucking annoying than this one for upgrades where you have to do weird annoying fucking gimmicks you may not want to do just to unlock them and then grind an assortment of bullshit just to get the parts to upgrade ship components. Like being a space trucker? Too fucking bad, jump through all these other hoops to upgrade. Its moronic.
>>719478825don't you wanna fly 60 gorillion light years for a nigger to add to your ship?
>>719478948Engineering should have been a player skill which encouraged player trading/missions/interactions. But they just fucking HAD to have another NPC in the game.
>>719475732For autists only. And in VR. Unless you have a group to play with, it's basically just space trucking. Which if that's your bag, then yes it's good.
>>719475732If you do have a group, you can have fun bounty hunting but it's not really worth it without a group
