Some motherfuckers out there want almost the price of a Series S on this motherfucker, it's insane. If the console had OUTSTANDING games that could only be played on it i'd understand, but this is probably the most oudated console from that time.

PS1? Amazing JRPGs and action-adventure games.

N64? Few games, but it was quality over quantity. Banjo Kazooie, Perfect Dark, Tooie, Conker's, Oot and MM, Mario 64, 1080 Snowboarding, Tony Hawk 1 and 2, GoldenEye, Turok etc.

Saturn? They ported a bunch of arcade games and the ports were decent for the time, but most of them have received even better ports on the Dreamcast. Daytona USA, Sega Rally whatever, House of The Dead, Quake (i think), a ton of the fighting games etc.

I was really interested in getting a Saturn just because it's a console i never played outside emulation, but it truly seems like there's not much to be played in it that can justify almost $200 on the system, at least for someone like me who isn't a fan of arcade-y games.

Then don't buy it? I'm sorry, what are you complaining about?

>because it's a console i never played outside emulation

You figured it out. Retro console prices are a retard tax. Why do you want an overpriced physical version of software you could be playing RIGHT NOW?

I apologize, allow me to explain. I was going to buy a Saturn for my birthday this September, i love playing games on original hardware and all that stuff. I went to look up the prices and i just couldn't fine one person selling it for a decent price, maybe you can find a console for <$100 but then you'll need to buy a controller, cables etc, then it's gonna run you pretty much the same amount as if you just bought for $150 ~ $200.
Some people are also selling the console with Saroos, which is what i want to get, but it sounds to me like it's a better alternative to just get a Series S and emulate despite the fact that i already have a computer capable of emulation.
I just can't justify paying that amount of money for the Saturn, it barely has the types of games i like. I love JRPGs, what does it have? Dragon Force, Shining of the Holy Ark, Shinning Resonance, Shinning Force III and Albert Odyssey. A bunch of the JRPGs i'd love to play are not accessible because they haven't received fan translations.

I like playing on the original hardware, but i wouldn't buy Saturn games.
I can bite the bullet sometimes and buy some PS2/Gamecube games, but i can't do it with Saturn games because they are ridiculous. I can, however, use a Saroo to play it via the cartridge slot. The problem is that there aren't many games in the system that peak my interest, at least not games that were released outside Japan.

So what's the problem? Either buy it or don't, the price is what it is for now.

It's worth it just for the Panzer Dragoon games
