>Kojimbo's magnum opus
>>719491285Is it woke?
I feel so sad
>>719491387Worse. It’s a movie game.
>>719491285It's funny kojimatards to this day still don't realize mgs4 (and 5) were made as giant fuck yous to Konami. Well, 4 was a fuck you to the audience for wanting more from what was a neatly wrapped up story arc for snake in mgs2 and 5 was a fuck you to Konami for nipponese style blackballing him into making metal gear forever (it was planned sabotage from the start to get himself positioned to start up his own studio).
MGS4 is kojima's autism unchecked
>>719492435>5 was a fuck you to Konami for nipponese style blackballing him into making metal gear foreverBut now he has his own studio and still shoves Metal Gear into his games
>>719495156There is a world of difference between a reference and dragging a series onwards for more games
mechanically this is the peak of the series.I had way more fun in MGO2 than MGO3
>>719493834Not really, there was bunch of stuff unfinished like the faction wars, the upgraded mgs3 engine they used just couldn't handle big maps.
>>719495723True, I barely played 3 compared to probably the hundreds of hours I poured into 2. 3 just felt so bare bones.
>>719492435>MGS2 ends in a cliffhanger>MGS3 does not follow it up>”dumb gaijn wants closure to the story? fuck him! Did you rike it?
>>719492435How can MGS4 be a fuck you if it respected the characters and what made MGS special?
>>719495378There is but for a man who supposedly had enough of Metal Gear over 20 years ago he sure can't seem to let it go
>>719492435You give Kojima way too much credit.
>>719492435No they weren't. By the time he completed MGS3 Kojima was promoted to the CEO of the Konami game department. He had full control over what games are greenlit and budget structure. MGS5 was such a parasite of a project it siphoned the money from new Contra, Gradius, Castlevania, Silent Hill etc projects. Everything went to his own project. Saying he was doing it out of spite is beyond retarded as this leeching of money cost Konami tons of talent being fired. Kojima left the Konami game division in a dead state with all their veterans being fired by him before MGSV came out. Kojima is a egomaniac hack.
>>719492435>neatly wrapped up story arc for snake>mgs2My dead brothers arm is possessing a man whose allegiances are a mystery even to himself, my clone-brother was president of the United States, the shadowy group of world leaders I am hunting all died a hundred years ago yet their plans are still in effect to this day, and the weapons I dedicated my life to dismantling are being manufactured at an ever increasing rate. This definitely seems like a good place to end my story.Anon, I get it. You probably played the game once 20 years ago and never thought about it again. But at least read a synopsis, God damn.
>>719496227Any proof or this out of your ass?
>>719495723MGO is one thing, but the sneaking in the main game is just MGS3 with a few tweaks and shittier level design. I don't dislike how MGS4 plays, don't get me wrong, but I've never thought it was a massive improvement over MGS3.
>>719496268MGS2's cliffhanger is a deliberate "...but Snake fights on and the adventure continues!" kind of story, fairly typical. It's a weird story, but the ending is bizarre in content more than structure. I don't fault people for wanting a sequel, but I think Snake's monologue at the end makes the intent of the game explicit.
>>7194924354 was Kojima furiously writing out or fucking over all of Fukushima's story lines and characters. Had nothing to do with the audience.
>>719492435It was a combination of Kojima sniffing his own farts and using Snake as a vehicle for his self-insert of being le tired of making the games and Kojima being exposed as a hack without Fukushima
great game until big boss shows up and fucking ruins the entire franchise holy shit why are you doing this to me kojima what the fuck did I ever do to YOU I bought a ps3 to play this fucking thing and you just make the story shit itself for no reason fuck off.
>>719491285i just pretend its non canon, alongside Portable Ops 1, 2 and 3: Open World edition
