Neptunia games have largely been bottom of the barrel asset reuse trash but the simple gameplay and the characters kept it enjoyable for a niche audience. Their attempts at moving Neptunia games to action combat have been an absolute disaster because the gameplay is extremely shallow and repetitive and that simply doesn't cut it by today's standards when you've got a ton of free games with magnitudes higher production value and far superior combat.

So if Mugen Souls Z had been put in the pipeline two weeks or even maybe a few days later than it did, it would have gotten screwed as badly as Tokyo Clanpool (which got screwed and censored so badly it nearly got canceled completely).This situation is so bad, none of these companies are acting like they're in a free market. At least ONE of these companies should be willing to take these games just to have that market all to themselves, but they ALL think it's "icky" and "problematic" and believe otakus deserve nothing. Tokyo Clanpool's situation radicalized me. I now believe it should be made illegal for Sony/Nintendo/Valve to ban or censor without a REALLY good reason that's not "risk/reptuation/brand"-related. If payment processors can have that pushed against them, so should the major storefronts. Because lets be real, there's not gonna be another new "uncensored" storefront to compete with them. The network effect inevitably makes these markets concentrate in the hands of a few or less platforms, and the only way to address that is to make them behave in the interests of a free, open market.

With EXP Up and Super EXP up, the enemies at the end of Giant Island or Mini Island give like 20-30 levels per kill at minimum.
