People recommend odachi as the overall strongest weapon early on, but I feel like kusarigama is the best weapon in NG, it does everything you need: good health damage, good ki damage, multihit for applying statuses, swings high and breaks horns easily. High stance fast attack, reaper and whirlwind kick are everything you need to beat most of the enemies on the first playthrough and you can grab all of those skills in the first chapter. Use high stance attacks during bigger openings, whirlwind kick during smaller openings and reaper on yokai out of ki.
Brother what are you talking about about
>>719498378nioh 3 will somehow be better than nioh 2, screen cap this
>>719498827I seriously doubt it and I don't even like Nioh 2 that much.
If you're not sending enemies flying with fists/claws you're playing Nioh 2 wrong.I totally would've respecced into one-handed if you could use the seven branched sword in its moveset though
>>719498827Chance would be a fine thing.
>>719498378Big sword is cooler though
>>719498827open "zone" already makes it worse but it's still going to be a decent game because it's Nioh
>>719498378I would recommend spear/axe/sword as the big 3 easiest to use NG weapons. Spear has reach, uses constitution for damage, and all of it's attacks are just fast enough that you can poke safely while avoiding most counter attacks of human sized enemies. Axe hits really hard and doesn't really require overly complicated combos and scales with stamina so heavier armor becomes available sooner. Sword is obvious because it's good at just about everything you need with no glaring flaws aside from it's relatively short range, so pairing it with spear is the go to beginner's weapon combo.

Spear is the easiest NG weapon by the virtue of double dipping the damage stat as the life stat.
Literally spam reaper and high stance light attack, just like I said. I don't think it can get more straightforward than that.https://youtu.be/OJWf5Om-mvc
>>719504125ive played the alpha and it didnt for me. it was fund to roam around andfind enemies to kill. it did not feel empty at all compared to other openworld/field games .The only thing that i wanted was increased aggression from the human bandits.
