I think Melee has the best vibes. 64 is too old and low-poly, Brawl is ugly, and 4/Ultimate are boring.Even casually it has the best set of items, stages, and roster size. After this game they added too many explosives and broken items. Like sure, you can technically disable them, but nobody does that because it's a hassle and my friends complain for some reason. And having too much stuff to choose from can be overwhelming like in Ultimate.I don't play Melee competitively but unfortunately all anyone can think about is how try hard and smelly the players are. It's the best Smash game even casually.
