Starfield chads won. We will get our engoodening update soon and Obsidian will go bankrupt.
>>719513375I will play it just like I played the first one. I won't pay for it though, obviously.
>>719513375>live up to expectationsThere's expectations?
Obsidian should just stick to shit like Grounded from now on.
>>719513375Did the first game even get any big updates or DLC after release
>>719513375Only thing I remember from the trailer was the voice over like >And no, you can't sleep with themAs if, someone wanted to? Weird flex but alright.
>>719513749Are you stupid?
>>719513375Obsidian will never be good again as long as the current CEO's are willing to settle for mediocrity. It's one thing to budget appropriately, it is another to just throw up your hands and say, "We probably will barely make a profit so scale down accordingly." They would be better suited scaling down their projects a bit and adding the depth that made Obsidian famous than trying to make a Temu version of AAA sized slop.
>>719513375im still gonna pirate it and enjoy it.
>>719513798also, its an advertisement of something you CANT do in a game. I dont think ive ever seen that before.
>>719513926>see that mountain? you can't climb it
>>719513881>a mild success rather than smash hitThat sounds like the leadership has settled on being mediocre and resigned themselves to knowing their creative team doesn't have the ability to deliver.
>>719513798>As if, someone wanted to?99% of RPG players just touch rpgs because it has romance options. And people have been harrassing Obsidian to make RPGs with romance options since pillars of eternity 1.
>>719513749Yes, the first game got DLC and an entire remaster
>>719513881Obsidian became the game pass company. They exist to fill up the catalog so the brand can look better
>>719513375Avowed 2 lmao
>>719513881>>719514003>>719514094Reads like Obsidian should just be on payroll as a support studio to other devs rather than making complete games on their own.
>>719514089Josh is just terminally autistic about romance so hell never put it in
>>719514184Good. Lonely people should die. RPGs shouldn't have romance options.
