Do you ever feel bad having entire game ideas in your head, complete with systems, settings, and characters but you just can't develop a videogame at all?Like, I thought about making a 2d top down SCP game where you fought through a base gone evil. Turns out, I can barely put a box down.Any tips frens?
>>719517658Not really because I accept reality. Ive seen how game development is and I really dont like it. I find myself playing my ideas in my head and I’m content with that. If you dont mind the process of game development, work towards your dreams. Don’t know what’s stopping you
>he doesn't pace around his house extensively daydreaming of video games that will never exist
ai will help
>>719517658making a game is mostly a whole bunch of boring and tedious tasks so of course just thinking about the good parts makes it seem like a fun idea.
>>719517658Whenever I finally get around to dropping money on a 3D printer, my first project is making a real C100 by printing a custom bayonet pommel with a rail to attach a bipod. I'll even do the final print in one of those nice reenforced filaments so it isn't shit.
>>719517658I miss BFFs. I hope they make more content when BF6 comes out. Noob is my spirit animal.
>>719517658I have an idea for a 2D beat em up/action game trilogy possibly. I don’t see it ever happening unless I win the lottery or something, to have the money and time for it.
>>719521372I've been saying this for a good decade, but Battlefield Friends is one of the funniest webtoons ever made because of the hilarious non-acted improv dialogue. I have no idea how a bunch of Tobuscus thumbnail nerdbros managed to produce something as hilarious as Noob Fight, but it's legitimately good to this day.
>>719522037My wife and I started a rewatch from the first episode when the BF6 beta came out. Really brought back old memories. Excellent show. I miss machinima (the "art" form not the brand that ruined it) so much. BFF was the best.
>>719518445For me, it's dwelling on wasted potential of shit games and how they could've been great, usually Destiny.
>>719522341Thick is my favorite character.>"Look at this!">"Look at how bright that is!">"AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH"
>>719522037The best episodes where Engineer gets a busted gun>they said you're playin' dirty!>oh yeah, i-i'm a dirty boy!
>>719517658No, because it isn't in my head. Creativity is really hard and I have a horrible memory so every time I had a neat thought or idea I wrote it all down and now according to the character count in Notepad++ it's about 1/3 the way to War and Peace. Now I feel bad because I wasted untold hours writing shit down instead of actually making it and I still haven't made anything. it's so fucking over, my dude.
>>719517658I want to make my own hard as fuck gameplay focused JRPG with lots of variety/content. There's not much of them out there. But it's too late now, maybe if I had the inspiration, motivation, and autism 10 years ago I would've.
>>719522694>"Guys, I hate to ask this, but where's the noob?">"I dunno, man, he's probably gargling dick somewhere.">*krrchk*>"Hey, guys! Guess what I'm doin'?">"Gargling di-?">WBBBBFHHHHFHFHH
>>719522852I thought I clicked a funny image macro and instead I uploaded a fucking XJ220 goddammit I can't do anything right
>>719517658This is literally me everyday with a class based shooter concept.
>>719521608 Bro I swear, if daydreaming alone put games on Steam I'd have a whole franchise by now with DLCs and a Twitter apology arc. I’ve got a save-the-world brawler with a hidden rhythm mechanic and dialogue trees more twisted than MGS2 plotlines. But here I am, animating stickmen in Unity wondering why the walk cycle looks like they crapped themselves. Maybe one day when we all make enough gacha bucks we can hire some poor souls to bring our madness to life. Until then, keep the notebook filled and the cope strong.
>>719518445>when you are mapping out events for a nation that will never exist in your lifetimeFeelsbadman
>>719523002Based Jaaaaag enjoyer regardless. The XJ220 was and still is the best car they ever made.
NGL, if you're as creative you think you are, you would be finding ways to make it happen. There's crap like game maker and unreal to make even idiots capable of making games.
>>719522357I do that a lot with total war
>>719521372>>719522037>>719522341>>719522502>>719522694>t. The Rosa Parks of Battlefield
>>719522357For me it's Killzone and a lot of one offs that got lost to the void. The former was blatant self sabotage but the rest were just products of their time that couldn't carve out the right niche to save themselves.
>>719517658looks like you're going to have to develop discipline and put effort into learning to use the tools of the craft you want to practice
>>719523935Already been doing that in Unity. I just struggle to grasp code and how everything connects. I got ideas like a adventure FPS where you can ride dinos and and shoot M16s on velociraptors, and an RTS with an Undead, Dwarf, and Elf factions on the verdge of WW1 tech. And a "not" Iron man game, complete with moral choices and a good or evil ending. And maybe one day a Warhammer FPS that isn't a co-op game.Rn, I'm trying to make a small fps where your a French GIGN shooting lizardmen and humans.
For me it's Doraleous and Associates.
>>719520070thisjust be writing down all your ideas, doesn't have to be organized, the ai will organize itjust get your thoughts down
>>719524426Haven’t watched it, but a lot of anons say it’s better. Maybe they just like Tigtone.
>>719517658i have an idea that i'll start working on once i'm financially comfortable. if i can't do it i'm going to try getting ai to help with the code. if it can't do it i will pay someone to help code out for me. it will happen one way or another. that's all i'll promise you.i just need a couple months to face up some money then i'm good.
>>719517658Give me your ideas and I'll steal them.
>>719517658wait till AI becomes advanced enough to hair code a game from your instructions
>>719524426I liked it a lot and it's a shame it was discontinued/never picked up, but the last season became really focused on Neebs to the point it kind of became annoying.
I've never had any ideas for vidya beyond just more of what I like. I've written 2 novels because it requires no budget beyond purchasing the equipment. Plus, I can incorporate any idea I like.
