Both Sony and Microsoft came out with their offerings with PS Move and Kinect. Neither did anything but being shame to their respective company and damaged their reputations, so Sony basically just has a taste of motion in there for the 10 people who want it (with gyro) and Microsoft just cut it out entirely making them the most traditional controllers. They are also the ones people consistently say makes the best controllers. Nintendo themselves have relegated motion controls to some quirky thing in the background and never go full on with anything anymore unless you could the wheelchair game for the mouse controls (which everyone shit on). Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft all made the right move essentially making motion controls a non factor.There is no market for motion controls with actual core gamers. Gamers aren't grandmas, aunts and uncles, soccer moms and shit. We want to be able to sit down with a real controller and play video games, not flail our arms around and constantly exert energy just to play a video game.
