I remember when bait used to be believable.

Neither of these are remakes, they are remasters.
Hell, OOT literally has no gameplay changes other than bug fixes and gyro aim
>>
>>719523672
People will fight over the switch remaster but the gameboy color remaster was amazing.

>>719525440
DX is the best version of LA. Even Nintendo realized this since they put it on NSO years after the remake came out.
>>
>>719523672

The only one that comes even close is FF Origins. 99.9% of remakes are shit.

MM3D is an abomination, it literally would've been better if it was a rushed turn-and-burn like OoT3D.
>>
>>719525341
Yes, it absolutely did. The original is a ridiculously flawed game and the remake at least tries to make up for the faults of that. OoT's remake, OTOH has more minimal changes, but the actual improvements it makes just don't offset the flaws it introduces and on the whole it's not worth playing over the original.
>>
>>719525341
the benefits that outclass the original is a mile long avalanche of a list
>>
OoT maybe because the QoL is great along with gyro aim, though the style mind of sucks.
MM, no. They made great QoL and went overboard with improvements. They circled back and made some shit a lot worse as a result. Tons of unnecessary changes

ReBirth isn't a remake, honestly. It has almost nothing in common with the original.

It's unreal just what an upgrade Belmont's Revenge was. They fixed all the big issues with Adventure.

ALTTP is a better game than NES Legend of Zelda.

RE4R i dont give a fuck if any nerds think otherwise. original absolutely GAPED by the remake

ALttP isn't remotely a remake of the first game unlike Oracle of Seasons, or ALBW for ALTTP, or is it as good.

If it were with Project Restoration, I'd agree.
Otherwise, PICK ONE AND ONLY ONE.

I liked OoT3D a lot. I never played MM3D because it seemed casualized to oblivion.

>-the clock runs 33% faster making for a slightly more tense game
Not a good thing and seems like a genuine error because the balancing always made more sense for how it used to be
>-zora link's default swim offers far more control for navigating tight corridors
lol fucking bullshit, it was perfectly controllable before
>-boss battles have added phases to the fight
MM bosses suck either way but the only one improved is Twinmold and that's because Twinmold in the first place was the worst boss in the game, they still managed to fuck it up with the giant phase feeling like absolute dogshit

Most of the other "changes" are minor enough that worse transformations are nearly entirely dragging the game down and the only genuine improvement are the visuals and the UI. Who the fuck cares about redeads dancing or fishing that doesn't tie into anything in the game and rewards nothing of value when they made Deku Palace and GBT easier for absolutely no reason? Luckily Project Restoration exists and if Nintendo knows what's good they'll pick up a few clues from it once they decide to make new ports. With PR fixing major missteps it does become one of the best versions of the game though of course it's still easier in some places.
>>
>listing the nerfed Deku Link/Zora Link abilities and the pace-breaking Bomber's Notebook as "objective positives"
Yeah he's just farming for (You)s lol

It's not a bad thing either, and it really helps cut through some of the arguments about it being easier when the main mechanic is pressing down on the players that much more. Zora link controls in the fast speed mode exactly like Superman 64 does flying. That's not great when you just want a little bit of precision for a location right next to the player. Having a default swim be more precise as an option is a general good. Magic usage isn't really a huge deal considering how little magic was used in the original, and the new location of obtaining the double meter being "easier", and alongside a new bottle (bringing the total to SEVEN) a player can even encouraged to spend rupees that largely went unused originally, in a game that generally gives the player the items they need when needed anyway including magic power. I didn't mind the boss battles in the original, but one thing I always wanted was being able to fight Morpha in the water in Ocarina of Time, and MM3D essentially gives me that fulfillment during the second phase.
>>
>>719534883
How ADHD are you that you label a more practical utility for completion a "pace breaker".
>>
>>719535119
No, ADHD is no longer making it optional, needing the game to interrupt you way more often, and having slow animations instead of making notifications instant like the original.
>>
The animations in the 3D remakes are so fucking dogshit that any objective improvement one could possibly list will never be enough to make up it.
>>
3DS Twinmold is better
3DS Gyorg is better
3DS Goht is worse
Odolwa is a huge nothingburger in both versions
