back when wow was popular they weren't that expensive to make and there was a seemingly big return on investment considering how many subs wow had for so long so it was easy to shit out a bunch of MMOs hoping to capture wows successnowadays MMOs are a lot more expensive to make and there's a lot more risk to them. It's why we don't really see any new ones anymore
