2006-2013 was the best decade in gaming.
Some of the games that came out during this time:
>Minecraft, TF2, Halo 3, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and NV, Skyrim, GTA4, the entire Wii library, Bioshock, COD4:MW, Portal 1 and 2, L4D2, Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, Street Fighter 4, Mass Effect, WoW TBC and Wrath, Assassin's Creed 2, Dota 2, Civ 5, XCOM
Pretty much all the greatest classic of all time came out during this decade.

Games came out complete and there was no egregious moentization, there was still no widespread DLC, no battle passes, no "surprise mechanics", no 100 GB games or kernel anticheats that brick your system without stopping cheaters.
People still used gaming forums. Gaming culture was entirely different in a way that I can't easily explain, youtube wasn't a solved formula, much less twitter, physical copies were still the standard.

What are your best memories from that time?
I truly feel bad for anyone too young to have been around back during those years.
