Gears 3 was such a fantastic game and really wrapped up the trilogy in the best way possible. Campaign ended the story on a high note and had 4 player co-op, multiplayer was the best in the series with tons of unlockable, horde had a huge upgrade from gears 2 without removing any content, beast mode was insanely unique and fun while not being as deep as horde was still an awesome addition. But now gears is a fucking slop franchise just pumping out sequels cause of the legacy the og trilogy built. Gears 4-5 make me beyond depressed that I've seen my once favourite shooter franchise decay and be ruined by modern game practices (the stupid fucking card packs in 4 and 5 straight up had an entire mode as paid DLC) and the god awful Collabs and crossovers because "hurr durr fortnite did it and they make money so why shouldn't we?!"

Why couldn't they just let gears rest after 3 it's only been mediocre since
>>
I solved this issue by not buying any Gears of War games after 3, not Judgement, not any of the other sequels, and I pretend they don't exist.
Time to time I read things like this, and it only reinforces me that I made the right decision.
>>
Judgement would have been alright if they didnt fuck with the mechanics and turned it into third person COD. Gears 4 was absolute shit.
