Why was it so... forgettable?
>>719548528Because Sakurai wasn't involved in order to give it the magic touchHe is the soul of the Kirby series
Return to Dreamland and Star Allies level design blows because they have to accommodate 4 players running around.
>>719548614Man wasn't involved in the franchise since Air Ride.Hell, man didn't even direct Dreamland 2, 3, or Kirby 64.
>>719548614Planet Robobot and Forgotten Land shit on every Sakurai Kirby game.
>>719548528>4 “worlds”>2nd world doesn’t have a theme and is just a mishmash of biomes>4th world is just the second world but IN SPACE
>>719548528it was rushed and not a new idea it was basically the original gamecube Kirby that never came to be.>>719549735I mean that's a little unfair considering the hardware we have now.
>>719548528There has been exactly one Kirby game that wasn't forgettable and it's whichever one you played first as a kid, the rest are all mediocre, boring baby games more or less it exchangeable with each other
>>719548528Multiplayer means level design has to be comprised
>>719548528Probably because the main story levels are some of the weakest in the series history, mainly being designed around multiplayer. The game didn't really get beyond mediocre until the last update with Heroes in Another Dimension and the hardest Ultimate Choice difficulty.
It really is as simple as the fact that it was designed around co op
>>719552869I think it goes further than that. The whole game in its essence was just derivative since the game structure was a hollow Super Star ripoff going so far as to copy many of the level gimmicks.
