You're missing out. Many people who say they liked, or even loved, Houses didn't give Hopes a chance for a variety of reasons. I don't blame them, especially with how ass the first FE Warriors game was, though.

I usually like the female designs better. I'm a large, broad shouldered guy with a beard. I can't self insert into effeminate bishounen, so I just pick whichever one looks better to me. Alear and Byleth were both easy picks for me to choose the female MC.
