>you cannot play the game and at the same time focus on the audio logs playing in the background

why do games do this?

I'm glad we stopped doing audio logs, they are the big gay

Playing Alien Isolation and it's what you want but if audio log is playing while story moment happens you will only hear audio log and miss what they told you to do

Did we tho?

Btw, I just realized that Kojimbo's codec convos were based.
You had to sit and watch.

You can always take the Poppy Playtime approach and make the logs the only fucking thing you can interact with in a room
>>
>>719555584
Bioshock did them fine since you typically had to clear out a room first and then you could listen while scavenging
actually isn't that how most games do them? The only one I can think of that doesn't is MGS5

There's mascot horror games like Bendy and Poppy which are just audio log simulators. They are often the only fixture of a room and if you don't find them the games are like 2 hours long.

huh? but thats exactly what the audio logs let you do..
>>

Of course you *can* but when you go into the next room and enemies start attacking you are you really grasping what the audio log is saying with all that mess going on? I don't think so
