Perhaps this format of ending was acceptable for Dark Souls 1, but this game is not fucking Dark Souls 1, it's a completely different type of game in both scale and general narrative. It's not talked about as much as it should be, but I think this particular issue is one of the sources for negative opinions about this game. When you play it for 60+ hours and the only thing you get in the end is "lmao jokes on you retard now fuck off", it sours the impression.What's worse, from software is actually capable of giving proper comprehensive conclusions to stories, as you can see by Sekiro.
