5/10Soundtrack sucks and character lines are annoying as fuck. Crossworld gimmick is lame. Tracks are okay as a whole. Buildcraft in a kart racer is idiotic. The vehicle customization is nice, but not being able to overlap decals and not being able to name vehicles sucks. Unless I'm missing something in these menus
I don't really have a problem with the items like other people do. None of the items really piss me off the same way Mario Kart items do. The defensive items in this game are also decent and actually helpful when frontrunning. And this is all not even mentioning how there's a bunch of gadgets to alleviate whatever problems you feel you're having anyway.

I just don't understand this gameI can consistently place high but I can't consistently place first. The items are all over the place. Any time you have a good race going something will hit you and you will be thrown to to the back of the pack. People in front of you will get top tier power ups while you get the shitty 1 boost despite being knocked back 10 places. It feels unfair, and should be completely aggravatingBut why is it so fun? I literally don't even look at what position I finish anymore after the race. I just want to play again even though it;s the same courses.

The game has some pretty deep cracks. It's really fun when you're driving on the ground in the center of the track uninterrupted without any bullshit. Item spam is obnoxious. The collision fucking sucks. If you drift into wall your kart spazzez the fuck out instead of sliding along the wall or bonking. Sometimes you'll hit a wall and lose all momentum. Sometimes you'll get suck on some fuckass level geometry and keep your momentum. The sailing and flying feels like complete ass.
