Must have been good tech because these things were salvaged and repurposed in everything from military gear to medical equipment.

Some ideas we’re just not ready for. People pissed themselves over this “surveillance” now they have far worse in their laptops and phones and even the wifi network can image anything in your apartment.

3d TVs are on scrap heaps. Maybe VR will finally be a thing when it gets to AR glasses stage. Or just die.
But remember when people went apeshit over Google Glasses recording people in public. Now they all record people in public on a phone.

Many home hubs have cameras for video calls. Fitness watches track your location and vitals.
Would a kinect really be that invasive now? They’re selling hand gestures and speaking to your tech again and people are buying it.

It's easy for a zoomer to forget, but the kinect was incredibly successful.

It was literally more successful aftet they dumped it from the console

For women and children, yes. A demographic famous for listlessly fluttering between fads and easily getting bored with the gimmicks they claim to crave.

That's the part which bean counters at Microsoft don't understand.
