It's just an mgs2 styled version of mgs1, it's actually a soulless version of mgs. Neither the original or a copy. Replaced by hd. Because Nintendo didn't have mgs so they made this. The first remake slop.

Do you remember that? in the real original you just shoot the helicopter with stingers, this is a horribly shitty demake.

People don't know now you know. There's all kinds of shit like that too that wasn't in the original. They changed all the cutscenes to make it extra ugly.

Twin Snakes is garbage

He goes a backflip onto a missile, I just want you to know that's retarded, and that's only in mgs twin snakes. Yeah I'm looking at it now even beyond what I remembered they had him do backflips all the time and dodge everything, he does a backflip and dodges sniper wolf's bullet and then shoots her, the original just wasn't doing it. The original is just far superior and more kino,twin snakes is a rape, a digital upgrade like they were doing at the time.

Snake does backflip and dodges rubble from c4 explosion, totally changed the game. Perhaps it's all vr.

I had originally come to a sort of benefit-of-the-doubt conclusion that the VA in MGS2 was so bad in comparison to MGS to add to the surrealness of the "simulation" (even if most of the characters Raiden encounters aren't in on it. I think only Roy Campbell's VA did an appropriately surreal performance).
But then The Twin Snakes came out and it confirmed my earlier take that either the VAs didn't give a shit after MGS, OR the localization and English VA direction team for MGS were way too competent.

There's a BBC article up right now calling MGS3 "[t]he first game to feel truly cinematic";
1) that's bullshit and 2) The Twin Snakes should be called "the first game to feel truly Bollywood".

just like look, he does a cartwheel over the door for no reason, that wasn't in the original. He dodges bullets in this one, it just removes so much realism that made the first so gritty, instead it's just fake cgi slop game, it really feels more like a product from nintendo gay.
