grim times ahead

i hate this
i hate monopolies
im tired of every game being forced to kneel to steam
>>
>>719586762
Is this good or bad? I feel like it's bad.
>>
>>719587502
For PvP yes. PvE is thriving despite Nikki's diaper-shitting rage over the fact people like it more. But he gets that cash so he wins in the end regardless.
>>
>>719587502
qrd? i havent played in years
>>
this game sucks the skin off of my dick
>>
>>719586762
wiggle video and retard tier greed from devs killed it and it will never recover
>>
>>719588207
people dont like losing their shit
>>
>>719587884
>PVE thriving
Wait really? I wonder if the Marathon devs knew that. They seemed so confident nobody cared about PVE
>>
Steamies will go nuts because they get cheated on in 9 out of 10 times and then post bad reviews
>>
>>719587647
no one is being forced
>>
>>719588503
>nobody is forcing you to work goy!
>just starve if thats what you want!
>>
qrd?
>>
>>719588718
but anon, you don't work.
>>
>>719588718
video games are not a necessity, but a luxury
creating video games is not required for survival
if all major video game corporations would stop developing video games, the world would unironically improve over night.
>>
>>719588207
Tarkov had (probably still does) a notoriously huge cheating problem that was proven by youtube video, basically confirming that every raid had a cheater if not several. Devs were still sloppy about banning cheaters and in a game like tarkov where losing your stuff felt like shit, it was even worse when it was to a cheater who you wouldn't stand a chance to
>>
>>719587884
Have they made improvements to the PvE since it first came out or is it pretty much the same?
>>
>>719588940
and i never will! i refuse to buy mr. shekelstein a new yacht!
>>
>>719586762
Nice, but bring Tarkov to consoles, please. I don't have $1,500 up my ass to upgrade my computer.
>>
>>719588481
you are a retarded subhuman egs pajeet shill
>>
>>719588481
kek true, i can already see all the bad reviews retards will give to the game because their 2012 laptops cant run it!
>>
>>719588207
>new "hardcore wipe" which won't let have you access to the flea market, time gated, vendor item gated, rep gated
>made loot worthless by reducing the sold vendor price
>made playing a Scav a torture by setting cooldown timer to 1h+ which is essential for new players to sustain your loot and re-equip your PMC and grind rubles
>turned the Standard edition into a laughing stock
>introduced more Prestige modes which only 0.05% of all player care about
>Reversed so many changes because they don't test their own game and just shit out patches out for sake of it

just intentionally making the game bad to test waters with day 1 supporting players who wanted the game to succeed, not knowing nobody will deal with this shit once released on Steam

the game is shit anyways like it's been like what 8 years now in beta? jesus fucking christ dude at some point you have make a decision whether you are a game developer or a nigger

don't get me started with Arena and Arena vendors that play in with the PvE/PvP mode or their super deluxe unheard editions
>>
>>719586762
steam is full of fucking cheaters and hackers. game is going to go to shit instantly as soon as the game goes live there.
>>
>>719589305
what did this Steam troon mean by this post?
>>
>>719589073
link to vid? searching "tarkov cheater problem" (predicatably) yields a shit-ton of results.
>>
no incentive to buy it on Steam at all.. they have their own launcher
maybe at 90% off or some shit

https://youtu.be/p5LfGcDB7Ek
This shit made me realise there is zero point taking pvp games seriously
>>
>>719587884
PvE is the only thing I'm interested in. How easy is it to "get into"? I ask because a year or two ago I was looking at their faggot website and you had to buy a specific version to even have access to it. I just said fuck it and moved on.
>>
>>719589394
you're acting if this game wasn't already filled with them to begin with
>>
oh i can already see steam trannies crying that theres some kind of anti-cheat for this game
not the developers fault fault pc trannies cant help themselves
>>
>>719590256
you play against bots with butt buddy of your choice, that is what PVE is
>>
>>719590208
The massive amount of hate and cope that came immediately after this video happened was amazing. I've noticed theres a weird blind fervor that takes over some people, last I saw it was fanboys racing to defend Lost Ark after amazon mistakenly banned tens of thousands of people who only played for a few minutes at launch and then uninstalled the game.
>>
>>719586762
the game died for me when they started introducing Streamers and Streaming faggots items
I bet they still desperate have some Streaming faggots on payroll
>>
Was arena breakout truly a better alternative than tarkov
>>
>>719586762
huh i thought it was always on steam
guess i never really think about this dogshit game
>>
>>719591092
nobody is buying it off their website anymore really
releasing it on Steam is an indicator for them running dry
>>
>>719591163
true steam is probably the last way to generate new customers that haven't already bought it through their website
>>
In the end, they all come crawling back to Steam
>>
>>719590208
yep, that is every bit as bad as I had heard.
this game is gonna get torn apart by reviews lmao.

it's worse now
there's a new-ish tool going around that lets you loot from infinite distance
just load in, sit in a dark corner near extract, loot the entire map, leave
couple that with radar to see everyone on the map at all times, and esp to line up blind shots, and you've somehow got the most popular extraction shooter on the market
>>
>>719586762
How do I add it to steam if I already bought it on their site?
>>
>>719592497
lol
>>
>>719592497
Games > Add a non-steam game to my library
>>
>>719586762
Why did it take so long?
>>
>>719587502
Unless they give out keys, this really doesn't change much. Its going to launch the BSG launcher regardless
>>
>>719592497
Add the launcher, you can do it and use Steam Recording which is nice.
>>719592410
>newish
Its atleast 3 years old at this point. There was a time where people stumbled upon the loot pile of those types of cheaters
>>
>>719589161
the SPT mod is better
>>
>>719586762
bump
>>
>>719594319
They get less money from Steam
>>
>>719589305
>>719586762
Isn't this game still infested with hackers? Why bother trying it?
>>
>>719598693
all pvp games are infested with cheaters, pc gaming in a nutshell
>>
>>719587884
Can't really imagine nikita hating pve that much when the game was supposed to be a stalker clone in the first place
>>
>>719590256
PVE is able to be bought on its own I think, so you could get the cheapest and then PVE but thats just worthless.
If you want PVE you get the cheap one, download SPT and play with that. SPT is solo modded tarkov. You just lose out on co op unless you use whatever its called and self host a server.
>>
>>719588207
Cheaters and bad game design has cause the game to be on a steady decline since 2020. The dev just keeps pushing updates like flea market bans and weight movement changes that nobody asked for. Newer maps like Streets of Tarkov is also unoptimized as fuck and even 5090 cant get a steady 80 fps which is really bad for a shooter game.
Recently they made a PvE server where people can play single player Tarkov and its doing surprisingly well, which makes the dev mad because that's not how they envisioned their game.
Either way the game is pretty much dead at this point.
>>
>>719588207
It wasn't just cheaters in the sense of getting killed
but many cheaters were running RMT. So while the problem is still 'cheating', many RMT operations would use wall hacks and the like to avoid you. Running for high value loot uncontested, and getting out - leaving you with a shit ass raid, all of the risk, and very little reward.

Point is, 'illegitimate' players were functionally ruining the experience by a variety of means and since all of the banned players would just be rebuying the garbage there wasn't an incentive to FUNCTIONALLY prohibit cheaters of all varieties in your always-online-games-as-a-service.
Its the same issue Blizzard has with WoW. they don't do anything about bots or RMT, despite wow tokens functionally facilitating cash for gold because RMT operations are big subscribers. Doesn't matter they're wiping out the economy.
